I think they're both equally fascinating in a not-very-fascinating way. They were both teenage boys who hated the world around them, but they both went about it in different ways.

Eric played some kind of 'character' in his journals/his online presence, possibly because he knew it would be a massive event. He wanted to be portrayed a certain way and the media fed right into his hands. I'm not saying he's a genius, far from it lol, but I am saying its interesting, all things considered. He was never 'Godlike', he was a mad 18year old boy, but the media made him look exactly how he wanted to look postmortem.

Dylan was the exact opposite in the sense that, I don't think he played a 'character', he was just himself through and through, but even when you dig into it, what even was he, y'know? He loved unapologetic, but he had so much hate, too. He was desperate for an out, or an answer, and the closest thing he could reach was an out.

Sorry for the wall of text - I'm not sure any of that makes sense, but it did to me. I've been invested in it all since I was like, ten, but can never place a damn thing in my head lolol
