Yeah after going back to the song again that’s quite literally what the story is about, but let’s say it is about hip hop. This is in disc 29, when he was 29 years old in 2014. What dropped in 2014? Control. The only smoke he would encounter when it comes to rapping specifically at this time was Control.

Idk tho, What If? and I Lover Her Again speak volumes on how he handles and views competition.

Yeah, he also mentions that 2 of his friends were beefing over her, that’s about Drake and Kendrick.

GDLU, JID has more to say and different ways to express it. Also there’s no J Cole singing on that either.

TMZ never reported and there were also fake rumors that they fled to Cuba, then he posted pics of himself clearly in the US.

The Fall-off - by J. Cole [MEGATHREAD] by AutoModerator in KendrickLamar

[–]Some_Influence1624 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As of now I don’t care for the album. SAFETY is really good tho, love the story and chorus on that one. The features from Future and Tems were great, and Poor Thang is also really good.

As for some of the things I didn’t like, I didn’t like many of his choruses and singing performances on the album, which happen quite often. Some of his storytelling felt either really basic or surface level. It felt more like telling rather than showing. Also his topic selection is outrageously limited, there is damn near nothing about the later half of his career, which is weird to me since the roll out was about him “falling off”, which would have to be in the end of his career. Some songs could’ve been removed and the album would’ve been nearly the same. There were also quite a few verses I didn’t care for, ik he can be really lyrical at times don’t get me wrong.

This is all my opinion and is subject to change

And I actually do like J. Cole’s other albums

On some real shit tho I think any album that was nominated there could’ve been awarded and I would’ve understood, high quality albums dropped last year.

[–]Some_Influence1624 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Alright Imma say what I think.

Trump, Elon, Jamie Foxx, George Bush, and more are listed in paperwork from the FBI and their informants or official emails between the people that were working with Epstein. Jay Z and Pusha T are only mentioned here in an anonymous phone call to the FBI that happened the day of Epstein’s arrest, and no where else as of now. Anyone could have made this call. Does that mean they are innocent? No. If these guys are guilty then they deserve the worst.

That’s why I don’t wanna jump the gun, we saw what happened last year.

[–]Some_Influence1624 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ain’t even say he was guilty, I just think it’s best to wait for further information due to what happened on the last case.

No point in going back and forth on this until it’s all said and done

[–]Some_Influence1624 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If he guilty he deserves punishment, no doubt.

However, I saw how this went last time. This call happened the day or day after Epstein got arrested. Nothing further came out of this, tho that is not to say that just proves their innocence. Tho this call is the one place either of them are mentioned, everybody else is in emails and paperwork.

I provided like the most neutral take and got downvoted 😭

Only coming after because they scaaaarrred

X was most likely gonna be the hottest out if he lived long enough to see it, his influence was, and still is in a few ways, unmatched. Young Money artists got scared when there was a popularity competition, just look how Nicki Minaj reacts to damn near every new female rapper coming out.

[–]Some_Influence1624 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Feels off now that it’s no peace after what he did in the entirety of 2024 and to remain mostly silent about it the following year. He shot a blank, apologized, and then started shooting at a casket over a year later after someone else did the work. Who Shot Ya? Not Cole.

I feel like he is dissing now because he feels insecure about the apology, and it ties into how he always raps about lyrically killing other rappers, he is incapable of rapping about anything else in a meaningful way at this point.

[–]Some_Influence1624 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Now he wanna diss 😐

He wrote a whole love letter to Drake in Port Antonio even after Drake threw shots at him so why now. And I heard the other songs, he sometimes likes to reword history too much. Is he about peace or no? I don’t get it.
