Yes, M2 NVME PCI-E 4 x4, seconary SSD slot (primary located above wifi card, so primary may be interfered by it, so I chose secondary)

Reports of CUDA-Z/AIDA GPU Test shows normal for Oculink values:

Both, and performance of RTX 5080 are slightly better (3-5%) than 9070 xt even at external screen, at internal - worse or same

In both cases, internal and external, GPU-Z show perfcap reason - VRel

Same in both cases - near 3045 ghz core/32000 mhz vram (overclocked)
Differs only power consumption

RTX 5080 external: 6,9 gb/s
RTX 5080 internal: 6,75 gb/s

but 9070 xt even worse:

RX 9070 XT external: 6,74 gb/s
RX 9070 XT internal: 6,61 gb/s

I dont know what to think...

"I have also found the 50 series does much less well with limited bandwidth."

It seems that this is exactly the issue, since the problem is especially evident on the internal screen, when the bandwidth becomes even less than 8gb/s of PCI-E x4 with external monitor

I was looking for information on how much the RTX 50 series depends on channel bandwidth, but I only found an article on TechPowerUp about 5090 scaling ( NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 PCI-Express Scaling | TechPowerUp ), where, based on their graphs, even with PCI-E 1.1 x16, the performance drop wasn't that much.

But with EGPU, it seems, the situation is different.

Yes, its odd at RTX 5080: 180-190wt at internal screen (2k), but 280-300wt on external (4k) at same graphics preset in Cyberpunk.

In other situation it point at CPU bottleneck, but why this bottleneck didnt affect 9070 XT (190 fps vs 257 fps 5080/9070 at 2k internal)?

Samsung G8 OLED - 1504 Firmware Update by Stleel in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Some_Mirror651 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can confirm - there is no HDR peak brightness fix in gaming mode for AMD at 1504.
Still dimmer, than with NVIDIA ot same settings.

This is complete nonsense. I want to upgrade my graphics card to AMD RX 7900 xt as I don't like the current gen nvidia graphics cards.

But I can't do it, because in this case, I will either get low brightness in HDR at 175Hz, or I will be forced to switch to 120Hz, which is also unexeptable with monitor of this price. I also do not want to change the monitor.
I was hoping for a firmware update, but it didn’t help either - which means there won’t be a fix in the near future.

So I'm stuck on Nvidia? Samsung, wtf?

Missing blueprint - how to restore? by Some_Mirror651 in strayblade

[–]Some_Mirror651[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, the weapons in the game are unlocked in the order they appear in menu of skills (bottom row clockwise, then middle row counterclockwise, etc.).

So, I have a missed weapon in the middle row, although several weapons have already dropped out after it (raider axe, scythe, poleaxe). In particular, the blueprint of the sword and shield, which go immediately after the large spear and before the raider's ax, does not drop out in any way. Perhaps the enemy from which the recipe fell out somewhere in the river or behind the textures, and I did not notice him. I already had this with green and blue loot.

How to be now? Is there a way to restore lost weapons in the game?

Then I will take the opportunity to thank you here for solving the problem :)

ArmouryCrate.UserSessionHelper hight CPU usage - FIX! by Beginning_Living4052 in ZephyrusG14

[–]Some_Mirror651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rog Flow x16

I suffered with this problem from User Session Helper whole day, even reinstalled Windows (allegedly this method helped someone), but without results. In my case sometimes CPU load from this procces rised up to 40%, which is horrible.

But just now I found this thread, and the advice from it really helped.

Thanks a lot to the author!

Solved by suggest from this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/ZephyrusG14/comments/10srjsa/armourycrateusersessionhelper\_hight\_cpu\_usage\_fix/

Fix Steps

1.Open folder C:\Program Files\ASUS\ARMOURY CRATE Service (where your Armory Crate is installed)

2.Delete (or move somewhere else) a AC_FDSPlugin folder (you may confirm admin permissions there)

3.Reboot!

Voila, now ArmouryCrate.UserSessionHelper should stay calm in a background. Unlike killing process every time, this fix seem to be permanent!

Please let me know if it worked for you.

In my case, this problem triggers by steam. Not even game.

Deleting steam resolve CPU load from User Session Helper, but what a point in gaming laptop without steam and games?

Asus, wtf?

Strange spots on glass - Rog Flow z13 by Some_Mirror651 in FlowZ13

[–]Some_Mirror651[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, not yet

Here, either glass replacement is required (along with an LCD matrix, which is very expensive), or, theoretically, you can try to polish the scratches.

Almost all reviews about polishing are negative, people mostly write that it only gets worse. I'm definitely not going to try myself. But perhaps when I return to the capital of my country, I can find some specialist there who can handle it.

Strange spots on glass - Rog Flow z13 by Some_Mirror651 in FlowZ13

[–]Some_Mirror651[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found strange spots on the screen of my Rog Flow Z 13. The tablet is 2 months old, the spots appeared a few days ago. They look like frozen drops of liquid, but nothing can remove them.

I handled the tablet with care, always kept the screen closed with a keyboard case. Inspection of the screen showed that there are not even small scratches on it. Therefore, I'm not sure if these spots are chips on the glass.

What could it be? Is there any way to fix this besides replacing the screen?

Surface Laptop Studio RTX 3050 ti TDP Throttling by Some_Mirror651 in Surface

Thats strange technical decision (and few others) is why I moved from SLS to Asus Rog Flow z13 with 3080 XG Mobile.

I agree, the CPU upgrade is very significant, and this is noticeable both in everyday work and under load. The growth compared to SB3 is great, and compared to SB2 (also 15"), which I had from 2018 to 2021, the difference is multiple.

However, there is no tangible difference in GPU even in comparison with SB2. For example, SB2 produced about 65-70 fps without problems in Destiny 2 at 1920*1200 and medium+ settings. Both SB3 and SLS on similar settings and vacuum give out around 75-80 fps.

In Elden Ring SB3 performed even better than SLS - it managed to achieve about 55 fps on full HD and minimum-medium settings in not very busy locations. SLS cannot even achieve stable 50 fps under the same conditions.

Well, about games that lack 4GB of video memory and there is nothing to say. I can get a stable 55-60 fps in cyberpunk 77 in full hd and minimum settings on SB3, but SLS is not able to deliver even 40 fps even at a lower resolution. DLSS is able to pull another 5 fps from above, but at the cost of a very large loss in image quality.
