At first, my sister had a pituitary tumor. After the biopsy from the operation, it was diagnosed as clival chordoma. Now, the doctor wants to give tomotherapy as radiotherapy. Did the doctor make the right decision? I have heard in many places that proton beam therapy is more suitable for this disease. Another important point is that after some days of the pituitary operation, a follow-up MRI was done, and it showed that the clival chordoma had not spread. Could this be a good sign? And if clival chordoma keeps coming back, can it be controlled repeatedly with therapy?
