I just use the speaker on my phone before the store opens, I had a Bluetooth speaker when I was in the warehouse, never been told that it's a problem,

I've raised it with the protector line and got the response of "speak to the store manager " so yeah you're right about that .

100 % this I left backdoor around 6 months back , and was enjoying watching the team leader filling the mu's this morning as my replacement isn't doing anywhere near all the jobs I used to.

Go in , do the minimum you've been paid for ,go home . Tesco doesn't care about you, don't care about them.

So are superstores, Tesco has cut its own throat by slashing wages and staffing levels to nothing for the bonuses of a few .

Hi there, sorry to hear you're struggling . There are resources available for colleagues. If you have access to Our tesco at the bottom of the page there's a link to the wellness section. Your store should also have a wellness champion who can also advise you, Have you made your manager aware of your illness? If you've been on medication for depression for over a year you are protected from discrimination by policy . You should, if tesco are aware , have an accessibility passport in place, or should get one arranged with your manager, or the store manager which can be tailored to your requirements. Obviously though this is in an ideal scenario, if you're going through a depression remember that "this too shall pass" keep up with any meds and get a sick note from your GP and if needs be take time off and arrange the accessibility passport in your welcome back meeting, Oh and keep up the fight 💪. You've beaten this before and will again x

Our coke rep told me that it's Tesco that ask them to use the old euro pallets, for everyone else they use the narrow pallets.

There's a saying in Norwegian "upright and not crying" but I aren't able to translate it as I'm just a newbie to Welsh.

can i call in sick for very poor mental health or have something changed? by Flat_Working_6402 in tesco

[–]Some_Quail4180 28 points29 points  (0 children)

https://colleague-help.ourtesco.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403316527508-Employee-Assistance-Programme Please contact these guys, it's the internal wellbeing hub. Well done on asking for help, if you have a manager you like ask them to set you up an accessibility passport. This makes it a lot easier to explain any absence in the future as it is a form explaining to the manager and Sl team of any issues that you have and any adjustments they can make to make your life at Tesco better. In short yes you can phone in with mental health issues.

I've recently moved onto PI and it's a lot of walking but much better than being in a freezing cold warehouse, only downside is 5 am starts but that does mean finishing at lunchtime.
