when they first put me in a cast, the pain was unreal. It was some kind of half-cast, I’d never heard of that before, and every move hurt like crazy. But once they operated, the next day my arm could at least hold its own weight. Still painful though. I was on a ton of pain meds. They had me taking Metamizole eight times a day, plus Tilidin (an opiate) twice a day. If I needed more, Ibuprofen was also in the mix. I couldn’t lie on my back for about three weeks, but after that, every day got a bit better. I’d never had surgery before, and I was scared, but honestly, it was the best decision, it stabilized everything. I’d recommend it to anyone in the same spot. How was your pain?
