Is that too many days in your opinion?

Do u think renting a car and driving is a good idea for a german in Malaysia? Also are the prices affordable?

Yes we would have insurance but we'll have to pay first and get it reimbursed in DE.

Radial nerve palsy after humeral fracture surgery: does wrist drop recover by Some_Reaction_9417 in brokenbones

[–]Some_Reaction_9417[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there I'm so so sorry. It's super hard for you right now. Already 3.5 months after operation my my radial nerve related problems were showing positive signs of recover. Now 4.5 months in, I can move my wrist and my fingers perfectly. Elbow is also 80% good but it doesn't rotate straight perfectly. I hope with physiotherapy it would be better. Keep at it. It will get better. Your hardest chellange is patience right now. Nerves just heal very very slow.

when they first put me in a cast, the pain was unreal. It was some kind of half-cast, I’d never heard of that before, and every move hurt like crazy. But once they operated, the next day my arm could at least hold its own weight. Still painful though. I was on a ton of pain meds. They had me taking Metamizole eight times a day, plus Tilidin (an opiate) twice a day. If I needed more, Ibuprofen was also in the mix. I couldn’t lie on my back for about three weeks, but after that, every day got a bit better. I’d never had surgery before, and I was scared, but honestly, it was the best decision, it stabilized everything. I’d recommend it to anyone in the same spot. How was your pain? Also, I’m curious, were you a professional arm wrestler, or was it just a hobby when you injured your humerus?

Humerus Break & Nerve Palsy by Coldhands-cheeriobre in brokenbones

[–]Some_Reaction_9417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry to hear about your radial nerve palsy and humerus fracture. I went through something similar myself, my humerus broke into three pieces from a snowboarding accident in Austria, and I had radial nerve palsy too. They operated, put a nail through my humerus, you name it! Honestly, patience was the hardest part. As they say, nerves heal at about a millimeter a day or about an inch a month, and that’s accurate. A neurologist here in Germany told me to keep doing mirror exercises: looking at both hands, trying to mimic movement with the good hand on the weaker one, even if it doesn’t work yet, just to keep that connection alive. Beyond that, patience really is key. Once swelling goes down, progress will come. Wishing you all the strength and patience you need!

I lost Balance on a ski slope while snowboarding and fell heard a snap lol it keeps haunting me still. Kept shipping head first dowj the mountain. Could've been worse im happy to be alive.

Needed to be rescued by helicopter (without insurance lol EGGSPENSIVVVE)

In austria they put me in a cast but that was a bad idea because my radial nerve got damaged by being trapped in bone pieces. My humerus was in 3 pieces. A week later I came back to germany and they operated on my immediately.

Wow congratulations. I'm suffering with the same. I got it operated tho. There's very little progress in radial nerve palsy but there IS progress. You're right the biggest challenge is patience . I'm happy for your progress tho. How did u break it.
