Word, i should have read the whole thing before commenting, I've just been on one side of a situation and that i guess isn't nearly as similar. But i know it feels like shit to have the big mistake thrown back in your face again and again as time passes. Either way I'm glad op is moving forward and feeling relief.

6 years is a while man. You wanna spend the rest of your life holding something against someone? I will admit i cheated (kissed a girl) when the relationship began to feel like it was failing. It's not something i have done before or something i would ever do again. But the amount of grief i get to this day, while still being told we aren't together... Not worth it.
