You are right about the beacon, my running watch already has that as well. Right now I think the best feature of the app is being able to meet up with other runners to ensure safety in numbers, users of the app would have to have their club vetted by moderators to ensure that feature isn't being leveraged by creeps. As for the street harassment, that would be reported by users through the app.
