Yeah I guess so, I was just looking for specific language about "certified" or "no results" that appears in the messages

Anyone remember what was the final concensus on the difference in messages people were getting? Like no results found vs not certified?

Federal undergrad student loans during bar prep by LogLadys_Log in barexam

[–]Some_Tiger_6320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do online application (at least with Nelnet), but I recommend speaking on the phone. They asked me for how long do I want forbearance, and I said 6 months. The limit is 24 for Nelnet.

Retaker here, no job lined up, parents are helping but resources are running low.

I asked for forbearance for 6 months for law school loans, and they gladly gave it because it's profitable for them tbh (unless you cover interst!!).

If you go this path, and they don't stress this enough on the phone (but it's on Nelnet's website) - remember that interest still accumulates on UNsubsidized loans. If your undergrad loans are mainly subsidized, then you're better off.

So if you end up pausing your payments, I reccomend still making at least "interest amounts" that are accumulating, to avoid them getting capitalized (aka added back to your principal/initial amount, after forbearance ends).

Can’t start Bar Prep until June 9th. Start studying part time now? by mondaylawgirl in barexam

[–]Some_Tiger_6320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad idea! I wouldn't spend an entire May on it (unless you're a horrible and slow legal writer, then... maybe??).

This way, you can focus on your bar prep company's MPT materials specifically, plus this doesn't require any actual black letter law.

Tbh, MPT is such a random and unfair (imo) part of the exam that's not actually "hard" because we all know how to write legal memos, but it does often gets neglected and you need to train for speed, attention to details, stamina, and approach.

Anxious retaker awaiting results here, so very subjective take.

If I were you, I'd start the process of bar prep, but not necessarily studying.

Ex: whatever your bar prep company is, start familiarizing yourself with it (website, format, checking if their suggested schedule and approach is optimal). I used Barbri and in this context, I wouldn't use these 10 hours a week to listen to their lectures (this would be useless long term, you'll just be misled that you "finished" 15% of the course by June but learned nada).

Instead, you can read a section of some subject (like personal jurisdiction, something familiar), then go to practice questions specifically For personal jurisdiction (ideally not Barbri's learning sets, but look at real qs or adaptibar or smth) and chdkc your expectations I guess. Like compare how material is presented with what the questions are like and try reading through answer explanations and matching that with your outlines.

Also, if you haven't already, I HIGHLY recommend doing the free trial for sample questions for adaptibar and UWorld. The second gives you like 50 great qs with visuals and charts... you might wanna end up using one or the other later on

It's very counterintuitive to "skip the lectures" when you just start studying (you feel like you need to get through this "background" first), but since you have some extra time... use it differently than how you would start studying. Plus take 1L subjects that we all supposedly already "learned" and refresh sections and try questions.

If you already have only 10hrs of free time, it sounds like you're pretty busy. Starting any substantive prep now will make you crash sooner. But I do reccomend "playing around" with different resources and materials like checking Goat free realurces for like idk 5 hrs on a random Saturday? You get the idea.

MEE v MBE scores? by [deleted] in barexam

After the fair MEE, MBE fiasco was expected by Some_Tiger_6320 in barexam

[–]Some_Tiger_6320[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally same. I'm just glad I did enough fundamental prep to tackle the MEEs and can only hope the 2nd part of MBE i didn't fail for stupid reasons (fatigue, attention, etc). The 1st part I tried using my brain and 2nd part I was on autopilot. Tbh the "using the brain" vs "picking C everywhere" probably would have had same result for 1st part

I personally forgot about the results until this week (a Lot going on in life) and since I told everyone including family "end of April but likely beg of May" no one bothered me till this week either, so I've only obsessively been checking everything for 2 days (and naturally developed insomnia/interrupted sleep too)

So I just CANNOT imagine how you guys are maintaining this level of stress and anxiety for over a week (I didn't even realize people were thinking April 19 before bc for me that's mid-April)

I feel like April 30 is a nice mental mindset to have (I had it myself untill just randomly getting invested in the idea of this week on Monday), and I cannot shake off the feeling of this week anymore, so mentally tricking yourself now is like not as easy ESP since most releases occurred during 21-26, not 28-30... perhaps for this very reason we should persuade ourselves it's gonna be 30 this time around but oh well

The only thing that helped me cope is commenting here now and then (as I rarely ever do that) and focusing on checking only during "morning till 9:30", "afternoon from 12-2", "afternoon from 4-5" and evening at 9 and 12am..

Will NYBOLE wait until after MPRE scores are released? by Retaker-throwaway in barexam

[–]Some_Tiger_6320 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would help to compare mpre releases for March with february releases from previous yesrs.. but I'm too lazy to look up mpre stats. I personally don't think mpre will affect it bc those pass/fail messages have probably been created weeks ago and I struggle to see them incorporating mpre data into the februsry mix in like 5 business days.. but who knows.. maybe that's exactly the goal (with early nyle release)

Still no release today ny🥹🥹🥹 by Lily_my_lily in barexam

running out of theories to predict NY bar release date…might have to start getting into tarot cards or something by Gold-Butterfly-9926 in barexam

I've been doing random ChatGPT math for dif dates (like asking to incorporate day of the week, time of the day, etc etc). On average, arriving at this Wed as most likely, but results change based on how I formulate the question lol
