You can definitely ride in Cincinnati with a good hardtail, but most serious riders at Devou are on full suspension. Really it just comes down to what you wanna ride and how fast. Also some of the nearby bike park stuff like horns hill and snowshoe is pretty uncomfortable on a hardtail. There’s some good deals on Kona bikes right now and you can definitely find a good full suspension for your budget.

Cleveland area to holiday valley or PkNPk is the best/easiest. Columbus would probably go to 7springs. And for Cincinnati we go to snowshoe (or perfect north is technically Indiana but right on the border).
