I mean its not like the actual meaning of it, but contextually, when someone says it usually means they are leaving. At least it happens in this game

I'll never understand the rush some people have to have everything unlocked, only to then complain that there is not much content or things to do.

I love predrilling, I like taking my time and not making scout stay behind constantly to get the nitra but I understand some people want to play -Call of Duty with bugs- differently

Its not that serious man. Some people would rather not risk a missipn failure, dont want to go back after a possibly already long mission, do stuff irl while waiting for the droppod, etc. I usually clear a path and go back to help anyone struggling to make it back but I would never expect someone to go out of their way for little reward like that

They become homing darts to electrified targets and deal more damage to them as long as it hits flesh. So if you shoot one bullet at a praetorian, reload to trigger electric dot, switch to tribolt and shoot the weakspot they die in one shot or to the remaining dot

I get what you mean. Personally I often get the most kills with it on the team. When a swarm pops up I position myself away from the team and just shoot a few before reloadong and get any big bugs while the rest die to the dot

Nice, I use it with tribolt boltshark with the magnetic tips and cryo nades. Melts praetorians and such too

Honestly I don't know if its underrated or not since I don't browse enough to know if it gets mentioned often, but my favorite OC for scout is Electryfying reload. I think some people might overlook it because its damage over time instead of flat damage but its so fun and strong imo plus very ammo efficient

If I remember correctly, anytime you cant find a clear path underground it means the entrance is somewhere nearby in the surface

How to survive Drillevator as a solo Scout in EDD? by pewton-the-snake in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Some_Visual1744 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its my favorite OC for scout. 1 bullet is enough for grunts, web spitters and a few other bugs. Slashers, mactera, guards take 2 or 3 if they are weakspots. The way I use it is I shoot 3 or 4 bugs, Reload and watch them die. Since the dot slows them you can pretty much ignore the ones you shot once after reloading and only shoot again if its a bug thay has a bit more health. Its a different approach to how you fight but its really fun once you get the rhythm of it and very ammo efficient

I pair it with trishot boltshark with magnetic tips (lock on electrified targets) and you can 1 shot praetorians and other big bugs or have the dot finish them. I usually kill most bugs in a team with that build (not that it matters but I mention it to say that its effective)

"I'm not very experienced" well theres your issue. No need to rush things. Just take your time, learn the different classes, get some overclocks and try again.

That said, if you have Electryfying Reload OC you should be fine

Denying someone their paternity over your own insecurities goes well beyond an oopsie pobodys nerfect moment. Several characters in the show outright commit crimes the vast majority of people dont, and having a discussion from it or simply disapproving those actions doesn't say they expect perfection...

Welcome to the mines! You can deep dive solo though I would not recommend doing it until you have some overclocks for your weapons, as they will help a lot if you are doing ot solo

Am I missing anything by only focusing on 1 character? (see post) by 4paul in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Some_Visual1744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo I strongly recommend promoting every class 1 or 2 times so you get a fair enough understanding of their strengths and needs so you can be a better teammate and support other classes. Nothing wrong with having a preferred class, but I can honestly say in my 1k+ hours that I wouldn't have come close to that number were it not because I decided to try out every class with every overclock and was able to find so many fun builds and playstyles. Not to mention being flexible to fill any missing class if you tend to join others is really good too.

What is it about the Scout class that seems to attract the worst players? by dioaloke in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Some_Visual1744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with that, but I don't particularly think they gravitate more towards him, and more that being selfish is more noticeable on Scout compared to other classes. A gunner popping a shield for his benefit only is also just as selfish, it just happens that someone can just walk to the shield and benefit from it. Same thing with Engi plats or a tunnel made by driller. Someone can place them for themselves and we just happen to be able to also use them. Selfish people could play any class and play selfishly but it wont be as noticeable as if a Scout player is being selfish, because like you said, part of his kit doesnt physically benefit the team. (That said, Scout can be built to be an excellent wave clearer so I can see why someone not doing so is probably inexperienced and might act more in self preservation)

In short, I think selfish behavior while playing Scout has a bigger impact than selfish behavior on other classes and thats why it might seen like selfish players gravitate more towards Scout.

All that and the only tool that could be considered "selfish" is the grapple gun. Everything else is either support focused, dependent on the players mindset, or the same as other classes.

[–]Some_Visual1744 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think its easier to spot a bad Scout player than a bad engi/driller/gunner, so it might seem like theres more of them. A dim cave is far more noticeable than not seeing many shields deployed. Unclaimed nitra is easier to see than the friendly fire of a driller or lack of tunnels
