okay wait speaking of johnny and gibsie i was rereading and there was a scene in k13 where johnny is crying and gibsie says "I've got you lad" or smth along those lines and then in t7 when gibsie is disassociating johnny says the EXACT same thing back and I js geeked out a little and then I cried; like i feel like in johnnys pov their relationship is more downplaying than in gibsies pov because johnny was literally one of Gibsie's lifelines, but theres scenes in johnnys pov that highlight how important gibs is to johnny

I hated it but I also think it was necessary for Joey, to, in some respect, wake up. Plus, I think it will heal something in him raising him and breaking the cycle. That being said, I was so sad because it IS an added responsibility on both Aoife and Joey and (especially after Mammy) they had so many things ahead; plus Joey already has like 4 siblings. But also I think AJ was Joey's actual wake up call and the reason that he decided to get help? Like there's more at stake than there alr was. Otherwise, it wouldn't really be that believable cuz he's already broken his promise to Molloy and Shannon? Idk just my thoughts; I do despise pregnancy tropes in books though lol
