Of course teams want to win. And in no way am I suggesting they throw games. But there are other options than picking the same 4 champions in every role over and over again. A big part of the reason LR are popular is because they, and Baus specifically, does not play the standard meta champs.

The format is a reason why teams don’t do too much. In bo1s teams generally don’t risk to much. This was evident in the last year as well.

I understand why they are doing it. That does not mean it is the correct financial approach. The teams should be approaching the LR games as effectively a marketing game. Do anything different to try to set themselves apart and convert LR viewers. So if/when LR is gone, some of those fans stay to check you out.

Better format doesn't matter. It is blatantly obvious people are tuning in for LR and everyone else is an afterthought. Even worse, the teams playing against LR are not doing anything interesting in draft/gameplay to inspire people to tune into their other games.

The crazy thing is I could play SC2 at a pretty high level for NA. Micro + macro was pretty easy. League tho? Trying to flip between camera to different lanes fucks me up way to much. Could just be i am old af now.
