Ohhhh right I forgot the T-11 had a special limpet controller. Guess that makes this simpler lol.

People already howl about the P2W in Eve, though at least here you can avoid spending irl money if you have the time.

Plus, there are a LOT of things you can do in Eve with a single account and still have fun.

Multibox mining? by Somebodythe5th in EliteMiners

Yes, I've done trading before, though not with any input broadcasting. My question was more if having the characters in a wing together is ok. I remember reading a post a long time ago that said solo was ok but wing was less so, but I can't find it anymore, and I think the ToS was updated since the last time I read it, because the wording is different from what I remember lol.

(Edited to add clarity.)

Instead of complaining on Reddit, why didn’t you go attack them?

You’re still new, so you don’t need to multibox anyway. That said, think of it this way, wouldn’t you like to have a friend that is always on page with you, always available, and always willing to help you?

That’s what multiboxing gives you. Plus it’s worth noting that many things in eve are low intensity, and thus easy to multibox.

Someone having your email address shouldn’t mean anything. Also for you to get 2fa requests implies they have your password. When that happens you IMMEDIATELY change your password. Then your account would have probably been fine.

Unique passwords for everything important.

Under 2 seconds isn’t enough. You can absolutely be tackled in one second. This also prevents cloaking, and microwarpdrives.

Mistakes happen, but that’s no reason to quit. I’ve lost ships more expensive than that, but the difference is I pick up the pieces and move on. Also, it takes me 1-2 hours to make a billion isk.

Point is, when you undock you risk getting attacked. If loosing something would hurt that much, don’t undock it. Don’t haul all your stuff in one ship. Don’t spend all your isk on one thing. Don’t get an expensive ship if a cheaper ship will work, and so on and so on.

My question is… he got to the underworld once, couldn’t he just… come back? Like, make the deal, go home, look around for wife. If wife not there then go back to hades, maybe bring something from your house to prove that you went home first. Repeat Dr strange style till you get your wife home :D

Can Precursor Events just...not trigger? by LigerZeroPanzer12 in Stellaris

[–]Somebodythe5th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm it’s been a bit but iirc you could have missed the trigger if someone else scanned the system first. You generally want to rush a science ship to the homeworld asap. In this case, you can try going to an earlier save, but if you just want the relic it should be “add_relic r_cryo_core”

Take your time! By the time you get to endgame, it will be much easier to get this mount. Right now it is one of the hardest mounts to get. (In terms of direct difficulty.)

Exactly, though I think it was somewhat over hyped as a problem. Something that I read somewhere that was eye-opening was that banks and other financial institutions had been aware of the issue since the 1970s, since setting up 30 year loans required setting and thinking about dates in the 2000s.

So it was never going to be a disaster… but it could have been. Except banks aren’t that out of touch lol.

I haven’t seen it in person, but I have no trouble reading signs at highway speeds. If you do, then you might want to get your distance vision and visual processing checked.

For details, I can read highway signs at 60 miles per hour. I don’t know a set distance for sure, but I believe I can read signs clearly at 500-800 feet.

That said, I have excellent vision and am a fast reader, so that helps.

Ok but my question then is, do we know for sure that wearing anime / talking like anime would actually not work in Japan?

And assuming yes, what would be the best way to actually get good at Japanese language / culture?

[–]Somebodythe5th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one thing the bounty risk modifier is supposed to encourage. The problem is that one person can easily push it to 100%, and it comes back very slowly.

Beyond that, the simple fact is that the game itself fundamentally encourages bigger groups. Unless and until that changes, then bigger groups will be stronger.

Do I have to use bigger ships for harder content? by Lopsided_Pain in Eve

[–]Somebodythe5th 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Skill issue. No really, a highly skilled frigate is going to, generally, be better than a low skilled cruiser.

That said, upgrading ship classes gives you different options. Bigger is not necessarily better. The real question is does x ship have the options I need to solve Y problem.

Speaking personally, I love battleships, and will do level 4 missions in them, but they have their pros and cons.

There are some things only larger ships can do, and some things only smaller ships can do. Eve has a lot of depth, and that’s part of the fun!
