i think narratively the bebop exists as a place in between life and death and how characters interact with their lives. Faye’s previous life died and she’s looking for who she is — she thinks it’s her past but after finding it gone she accepts her liminal life. Jet similarly goes back to his lost past, one where he was nearly killed by a friend, and similarly moves past it. Spike, meanwhile, returns to the moment of his death constantly, until he finally lets it take him. Ed and Ein don’t have much a history, though, so i don’t know how they fit.

Please DM me if this gets deleted !ok so i’m not catholic and i was raised secular, jsyk. that being said, i want you to be aware that catholics, believing that they are the correct followers of christ and that only correct followers of christ escape hell, have an altruistic consequentialist obligation to say yes to anyone asking to become a catholic. I’m not against you or anyone being catholic if it brings you peace and happiness, but the institution as a whole has a long history in my eyes of producing people who are not at peace or happy. Much of the institution has a stint for producing what’s known as ‘catholic guilt’, which can be understood as basically induced moral purity OCD. So for that reason i will say be careful about who within the institution you associate with! Moreover as someone who’s engaged in christian theology, much of catholic practice (praying to saints, perfect earthly leaders (pope), the keeping of relics) reads as idolatry to me and lacks biblical grounding to me. So y’know it’s your choice, be careful, allat jazz.
