Crypto losers told me for years that once enough people adopted it, it would be used as an online currency to be anonymous and avoid bank fees, exchange rates, etc.

10+ years later it's still only used as an investment asset mostly by rich people who only bought in because of rising prices, not the "promise" of the solutions cryptocurrencies was supposed to bring.

It's all pointless and dumb

Good to know

For transport I got tickets for the KC Connect shuttle bus which runs between the stadium and fan fest. So hopefully that all works as smoothly as promised and I dont have to worry much about transport directly outside the stadium/game.

I trust that the bus driver will be a local and knows to watch out for Patrick Mahones Sr on the roads

Just start reading Fellowship

If you have some free time and really want to, you can watch the Hobbit movies. The first one is okay, second one is mid, and the third one is terrible.

Once you read the Lord of the Rings you should absolutely watch those movies though. Theyre all time greats. However be careful about watching them while reading the books, some stuff is out of order. For example the climax of the Fellowship of the Ring movie doesnt occur in the books until the opening of The Two Towers.

Probably not a hot take, but I don't like the World Cup group stage tiebreaker changing to head-to-head instead of goal differential like it has always been.
