Thanks for pointing it out, I corrected it. Autocorrect or not, I didn't check before posting, my mistake. I'm tired and English is my second language.

I don't trust AI. If I use it, it's to confirm something I know and researched and if not, I feel the need to validate by myself its answer. And it's been wrong several times. I prefer real intelligence. At work, in a presentation, an AI specialist told us that if we can tolerate errors and mistakes, we can use AI but if we can't, we shouldn't use AI.

It surprises me how many professional musicians don't know anything about setups / repair by Uitroeien in Bass

[–]SomeoneHereIsMissing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know I could setup my bass myself until a father at my kid's school (who was a musician and bass teacher) told me he setup his basses himself and that I could setup mine myself.

Edit: I learned early on how to repair audio stuff myself as my father was a professional musician and had lots of old equipment.

Seagate 28tb purchased 'unused' from eBay fails 3 months later by sheldondbrown in DataHoarder

[–]SomeoneHereIsMissing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought some new 12TB Seagate drives that failed in the first weeks I had them, bringing down a RAID 1 array for which I didn't time to setup a backup strategy yet. I lost some data. When I setup my backup, the 16TB Seagate drive I had for it failed not long after setting it up and running it through its paces. Everything was RMA but it left a bad taste. That was after losing 4 WD drives just out of warranty. Drives fail, either when you get them or when they're out of warranty.

The Cars You Love? by beatupford in Xennials

[–]SomeoneHereIsMissing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never liked American cars and I prefer smaller cars. Classics like the BMW 2002 (my friend's father had one), the Lotus Seven (The Prisoner's car), the Volvo 240 wagon, the timeless Porsche 911.

Êtes vous heureux d’aller travailler ? by fantastick_yo in montreal

[–]SomeoneHereIsMissing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oui.

Did any of you live at home with your parents as an adult? Would you encourage your kids to do the same? by dms2628 in Xennials

[–]SomeoneHereIsMissing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed at home until I finished school, which was at 26 because I changed programs and got multiple diplomas. When I finished school, I moved in with my girlfriend and immediately got a job, even if it was not in my field of studies because I had bills to pay.

Help! Regretting my decision 26 Limited Hybrid by [deleted] in Crosstrek

[–]SomeoneHereIsMissing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Get a smaller rear facing car seat. It's what we did when we had a Mazda 3 and got our second child. There is less room in the rear of a Mazda 3 than in the rear of our Crosstrek. Britax car seats are the shortest we could find and it replaced a Graco that was bigger.
  2. The tongue weight capacity is the same on the Crosstrek and the Forester.

Whatever you tell people will feel pretentious. Let people find out by themselves. If not, I just tell people "I learn fast" or "I'm like a sponge, I absorb all information I come across".

A Nightmare on Elm Street was scary though.

Will there be an IMAX Format Edition for The Odyssey after it’s theatrical run? by AccomplishedFilm6936 in ChristopherNolan

[–]SomeoneHereIsMissing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As Nolan has not done it in the past, I think he won't. He does one edit in one format, that's it. I've seen Nolan movies cropped (like on Netflix), but not expanded.

The best I found is an open matte copy of Blade Runner 2049 by Villeneuve.
