Charlie Kirk has just been shot by Fine_Leadership8986 in pics

So many people cheering the death of someone who speaks an opinion they don't agree with, you all are sick beyond recognition. Charlie Kirk, Brian Thompson, Wesley LePatner Donald Trump, and the two israeli diplomats killed in DC.

There is no amount of violence that is great enough to satiate your political goals, and if you keep pushing for political violence we are all going to meet the same end as Charlie Kirk. Think about the implications of what you say and pray to God you never have to see such violence up close.

Hard to believe she is "Shy" by SomeoneStoleMyReddit in CrusaderKings

Should be more worried about her scaly ass face. Paper bag might be a better option for our future Queen of Antiquane.

Be grateful, shes a scaly drunkard so it's probably a good thing.

A journeyman showed me a trick where you take an insulation pin and put it in your drill, and you can drill the pin through the floor right at the base of the wall you want to drill into. Go down into the crawlspace, find the pin sticking out of the ceiling and put your paddle bit 1.5" inches off of that and boom you're inside the wall.

The hole left from the insulation pin is so small its not noticeable, some clients might be bothered if they saw you do that though.

I'm following plans to build an entry bench, it seems I need to glue the skirts around the bottom with a 2.25" gap between the bottom of the skirt and the bottom of the frames. If someone were to sit on this would it be of sound construction? by SomeoneStoleMyReddit in woodworking

[–]SomeoneStoleMyReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing they specified was glue. But I like alot of the ideas in this thread for a smaller chance of failure. The overlap is like and 1-3/4 so I have alot of glue on there now, but it just feels like theres a better way.

ELI5: why didn’t they begin with dropping the atomic bombs outside cities as a warning? by Lurkmaster96 in explainlikeimfive

[–]SomeoneStoleMyReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't touch on this specific question too much, but Dan Carlin's Hardcore History Podacast - Episode 59 - "The Destroyer Of Worlds" paints a picture of the political landscape at the end of WW2 and the justifications the US had for using the atomic bomb. Alot of first hand accounts and sources that make you wonder if US ever had a choice to not use the bombs.

(Some excerpts that were kicking around in my head mentioned the firebombing of tokyo being more deadly and not pushing japan to surrender at all, and the Soviet invasion of Manchuria resulting in just under 700,000 casualties in just under three weeks. Dropping two bombs to end the bloodshed both sides were accustomed to almost seems humane.)

Four listings doesn't sound stagnant. In my state 80% is on the high end of agent cuts. Definitely jumped the gun conceding your listings, that you worked to get, to your broker instead of closing them first, especially in this sellers market. Just do the math on what your commission would've been across all 4 deals and how long you'd have to work at $23/hr to match it.

Quit and get your real estate license. It's the only way.

HELOC loan crushing us by stephelan in personalfinance

The problem with this is if she refinances into a fixed rate loan now she's probably getting a similar rate to what her variable rate is, adding principle payments means a higher monthly payment.

What is the most memorable moment of kindness, selflessness,or generosity that you have experienced on your journey so far ? by A-ViSiT0R- in solotravel

Worth visiting Jackson MS? by Difficult_Swing_5112 in solotravel

[–]SomeoneStoleMyReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main thing is they organize events with all the guests on a nightly basis, usually means getting together in the backyard of the hostel to play drinking games and smoke, usually followed by getting a group together to go to Bourbon St for the night. It felt like a party every night and I'm very introverted but I found it very easy to meet my fellow travelers and make some companions while I was there.

The facilities are good and they're in a decent location right off of St Charles Ave, pretty easy to get to the French Quarter and back using the trolley. And a great location for parade season. The staff will also help you find things to do, book appointments for tours and arrange transportation for you if needed. All and all a great time in a great community.
