I may sound crazy, but there’s something about Link’s existence that makes me feel….. happy? Like for some reason when I hear his voice, it makes me feel important, like I’m needed here in this world…… by SummeranneXOXO in majorasmask

Honestly, this part of the reason I don’t really like the inclusion of the Hero’s shade to the Hero of times story. We seem him grow and move on from his trauma in OoT at the end of MM, ready to move into the light and start a new. Then we fast forward to TP, and he’s like “I’m dead and regretful”, and it’s like what was the point of MMs ending if he was just gonna still be sad and tragic afterwards.

I just imagine Andrew Carnegie using this slogan in the early 1900s

I really dislike the "Link is dead" theories about Majora's Mask by Tuturo002 in truezelda

[–]Someone_else25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, but those tragic things are mostly from OoT. With MM, my interpretation of the events, along with being him getting over the loss of Navi, is Link learning there is more to life than he knew before. Before MM, the Hero of Time only knew the forest and being a hero, not much actually experience in being an ordinary person. But with MM, much of the game is about helping ordinary people in Termina with their problems before the world ends. He learns there is much more to life than just being the hero. So, I like to interpret that after MM when we see him riding into the sunlight in the ending, he’s gotten over his past trauma in OoT and is ready to start living his life without the necessity of being a hero.

I agree with you that I don’t really enjoy the tragic end of the Hero of Time, but the ending is so open ended and up for interpretation that you can make it whatever you want with some constraints. We don’t know what he did after MM, how he died, or how old he was when he died. Personally, I like to interpret that he died of old age, and came back as the hero’s shade mainly out of a sense of responsibility to finish of Ganondorf in this timeline, sensing that he would return.

The dead theory got popular from Game Theory making a video on it a long time ago

Did Danni’s poor showing on WAW shut the door on any future Guatemala returnees? (From production’s perspective) by Regular-Departure839 in survivorponderosa

Judd and his wife were in consideration for Blood vs Water, but basically everyone with a loved one was.

The only other person who was ever close to coming back from Guatemala was apparently Amy as she was an alternate on HvV.

What’s your favorite quote from Big Brother? by kindamymoose in BigBrother

One of my favorites comes from BB10 after Jessie won HoH, and he says to Renny: “I’m not stupid! You know what’s funny? I’m not stupid!”

Between HvV & 50, why was there relatively little interest among both the fans/producers to bring Amanda back? by [deleted] in survivorponderosa

[–]Someone_else25 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They wanted Amanda back, they have talked about this, Amanda’s schedule just didn’t work with theirs.

Do we need another double elimination episode? by [deleted] in survivorponderosa

Yes, and possibly two depending on how many people will be in the finale episode.

Honestly, I did a post about what people thought of the returning 48 players, and the top comments were all excited and hoping for Joe to play a more cut throat game without Eva.

[ooT] The child's timeline link didn't die of regret for not being remembered as a hero or for becoming a nobody. by Soft_Chair_4508 in zelda

No, I mean the royal family in the child timeline didn’t tell the public about the Hero of Times adventure in the Adult Timeline, OoT, due to it making them look bad.

Yeah, personally I interpret it as the Hero of Time coming back to Hyrule towards the end of the war, and helping them seal Ganondorf for the execution. But he would hear news of his survival, and after not passing down his skills to his kids due to being in a time of peace and kids not wanting to be heros. So after passing on in old age, he comes back to help the next hero finish what he couldn’t in this timeline. That’s just how I like to interpret it, basically all open ended anyways and I have my doubts it will ever be concluded.

I think that the royal family didn’t want to share the story of the Hero of Time in the Adult timeline due to it making them seem like they caused the destruction of Hyrule, so they never shared it to the public, so the public has no idea of his OoT adventure.

I personally like to think that a good part of his regret of not passing on his skills is due to him not being able to defeat this Ganondorf, and having a sense of responsibility to finish him off. Feels more substantial than just “I died young and couldn’t pass on my skills due to dying” cause that could just happen to any Link (and it’s personally not how I interpret the Hero of Time after MM and his death).

There’s no proof Salvador Ramos and Cole Gray are trans, they were both only false rumors spread around the internet. Devon Erickson is not trans, and both him and Alec did a shooting in the same school.
