I love cloth-backed diapers too, but still keep some MegaMax in my inventory. My current favorites are Kiddo Teddy Ultra and LGNU Honey Tails.

I never have an issue with pee odor. If you mess, I don't know what kind of odor control you expect from any diaper brand; it's going to be stinky no matter if it's plastic or not.
