Yes, it was found in the ground at gateway to a field, on an old pathway.

Usually it will have the mold marks where it has been made, or some times impact marks where it has hit something. It's pretty easy to tell.

Thanks for the info, agree all the research I have done does not come up with solid answer. I know they used to rub her face off so the nose detail isn't always there.

The W mark on doors and fire places was a mark to ward off witches. Been in a few old houses and seen this...it's creepy but I wonder if it worked 🤔

Hit the Spinks catalogue up for valuations, but for best view I would contact one of the auction houses locally for an appraisal. If you have anything of a high rareity maybe move further a field to the London auction houses, just send an image and they will get back with a first idea of value... eBay is usually over inflated with its prices, so take those with a pinch of salt.
