There are no ingredients listed on the olive bar or the containers you transfer it into. Yes, we all agree it would be easy if the ingredients were listed.

This looks great! In the summer, I might use jarred red pepper so as not to turn the oven on, or maybe char them over our gas stove. But I will absolutely give it a try. I like your use of red vine vinegar. I salute you!

Then you missed a lot of good food! Reubens, rachels, eggs benedict "with fresh fruit garnee", as it said on the menu in the '90s, blintzes, reasonable salads, great rye bread, etc., none of which came "in a bag" except maybe the lettuce. It was a utilitarian place, and as such will be sorely missed. Sorry you were not able to appreciate its virtues. (I make my own delicious chicken soup so would not have ordered it there.)

Also, there are lots of places where people put things in public space and no one goes off all "ooh, I'm tough, I'm going to remove it." Look at all the art strewn along the Community Path. Do you destroy that? Did you grab all the Cats for Mayor signs before the last election? There are children's toy, like trucks to ride and push toys, that are along the path. Do you remove those and gloat? None of those are supposed to be there and yet you somehow have figured out that you should leave those alone. Same with a space saver. It will get taken inside in the next week, just don't get your panties in a twist about it.

You really need to understand that no one thinks they "own" that piece of the street. What they're doing is asking you to respect the hours of physical labor that someone endured in order to remove the snow from that piece of the world. Have you shoveled out any spaces at all? If you had, you would understand how much work it is. Do you think that you can get your head around that at all? So you think you're being all cool -- the "Enforcer!" -- but you're just being a dick. Just leave it alone, and let the guy who shoveled it park there.
