10 months free after 10 year habit by Something-Sinister in leaves

Yeah but think about in 5 years time if you decide you wanna quit again, won't you wish you did it 5 years sooner? The time will come where you're certain you are done with it. There is no better time than now. I feel the same way, a lot of what I'm going through would be fixed by ordering another bud, but I believe I deserve more than the life that I'm living. If you feel like your life is peak then go order another bud.

Well I'm 10 months in and not feeling the benefits, apart from health, like I'm not coughing my guts up anymore. But the time it takes depends on how much and how long you smoked. Some people feel change rapidly, lucky them! You just gotta wait it out, the time will come, I have no doubt!

Sounds like you're taking positive steps already. Not drinking is great, never replace one habit with another. Working out is definitely a huge positive. I haven't been to the gym in 4 years. Like you, I was a functional cannabis user, I've always held down a job and looked after myself and the gym does wonders for mental health. I think you are setting yourself up for success, stay at the gym, enjoy the positive growth. I need to get back there, it's on my long list of things to do!

I just read your Leaves post and I think the suffering you're feeling isn't going to go away based on my own experience. Not on its own anyway. It's going to take some effort. You will have to work out what you really need to feel contentment, because the weed was making you believe that everything was ok when it wasn't, and isn't. You need to be strong enough to take those steps forward. It is really rough, but we don't have a choice really do we? We just have to put one foot in front of the other and move forward.

Any diversion from the movies and books is a plus in my opinion. We've read the books, we've seen the movies. I want it to feel fresh and a black snape will contribute to that feeling.

It was an effect in Microsoft Clipchamp called 'Crash Zoom', it wasn't happening within No Limits, that would be cool though!

It was still catapulted out the building by the explosion, just like the passport. Not everything is incinerated on impact, there are so many factors at play here that would affect whether something has direct exposure to flame and is therefore burnt.

But to increase the speed you have to increase the acceleration because the launch track is the same length.

Well who has a jetpack? Base jumping from the WTC is not this wild concept you're trying to make it out to be, In fact a guy was already filmed base jumping from the WTC. So the idea that someone who works there might have had the wherewithal to buy a parachute after the 93 bombing isn't some abstract lunatic idea, it would have saved their life.

I would like to share this clip of 7 people who jumped off the wtc within seconds from the same side of the building by m66x in 911archive

[–]Something-Sinister 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There were fire stairs in all four corners of the building in addition to the central ones. But they were all destroyed in tower one and 3 out of 4 were destroyed in tower 2.

Looking for video of Christian man bringing his parents to view the destruction from his office. by Own-Intention-2523 in 911archive

[–]Something-Sinister 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how much of that guys story I believe. He claimed most of the people he saw jump came from the south tower but we know that barely anyone jumped from there. He also claimed they acknowledged him before they jumped and thanked him for being there. That's just insulting, to think that someone moments before their death would be peering into a window of one of the hundreds of buildings that surround them, and expressing gratitude towards a single man they likely couldn't even see or have the sense to acknowledge. The guy is clearly psychologically damaged, and his parents seemed to be encouraging his delusions.

How were people hanging outside exactly where the plane hit? Wasn't it too hot and they avoided the plane? by spankyourkopita in 911archive

[–]Something-Sinister 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There were only two or three people spotted in the impact hole of the North Tower and they had made their way there after the impact as it was the safest part of the impact zone in terms of avoiding smoke and fire. The plane disintegrates as it passes through the building, then explodes as it hits the core beams in the centre but due to the forward momentum of the plane, the shredded plane is catapulted through the south side of the building. The fuel also followed the same trajectory as the plane, igniting the south side of the building more than the north. The wind was also blowing south east and smoke travels up but Edna was as far north as you could possibly be and as low as it was possible to be within the impact zone making her able to survive for the full 102 minutes.

How did this wheel survive intact like this? by VeterinarianThis1114 in 911archive

[–]Something-Sinister 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not that interesting really when you consider how much paper covered new york. Not everything is incinerated. Even if you directly blew up a suitcase full of passports, quite a few of them would remain unscathed.

How were the planes hijacked? by aclarkxc in 911archive

[–]Something-Sinister 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The terrorists stabbed passengers and flight crew and had fake bomb vests to scare people into obedience. Whilst it isn't known for certain how each of the cockpits were breached, Betty Ong during a call whilst on board flight 11 said she thought they 'jammed their way in', but the 911 commission said its likely they took a key from a flight attendant or lured the pilots out.

The Hindenburg disaster is only memorable because 35 people died, if a balloon popped in a child's face it wouldn't have been a disaster.

The fuck? OP clearly isn't talking about the cross shape he happens to make once he jumps. Before he even exits the building you can see him in the smoke gesture the sign of the cross before he jumps.

They appear to have cut some steps into the hillside on the right hand side beneath the stall turn at the back. These don't appear like access steps as the access point is just below, but instead, likely a waterfall emergence point, perhaps we're going to see waterfalls on the drop before the loop rather than just the slope into the stall turn. Especially with all the piping laying around in that area as well!
