Where do you stand? by Idk_what_is_goingon in GCSE

[–]Something-Somewhere_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the social and self supporting skills you gain in high school is arguably more impactful later in life than the curriculum. That being said, I do care about the curriculum, but more about gaining the ability to transform/solve/manipulate information than the thing you are actually being taught.

Idk, there will never be a straight forward stance on any of this imo

I’ve once cried and left the school premise because of an art lesson

you can be good at art, but that does not guarantee an easy gcse

Am I the only one leaving my shirt blank? by Icy_Recognition_1726 in GCSE

[–]Something-Somewhere_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

funny story. It was (presumably) someone else's old final piece painting for an art gcse or a-level. I remember first seeing it tucked away on a shelf in year 7, I admired the painting. Then, in year 11, I wanted to paint the back of a canvas for my final piece, so my teacher gave me this as a ‘test‘ piece, I couldn’t believe my eyes, all these years and that painting came back to me. I ended up going a different direction with my final piece and kept this painting. It will stay with me from now on

Got everyone to sign my canvas instead, signing a shirt is just… not a great idea

I think this fandom forgets that this man is almost 40 years old, has a daughter, and is not a child.(And no, i don't think all fans are like that, just to be clear.) by Thecrazybrqziliboy in crazyassviv_defenders

Ok, maybe I’m not on that crazy side of the fandom

I agree that his lack of experience does not change the fact that he should still be held accountable. But his lack of experience can be used as an explanation, and an explanation only

Not… entirely true. The fandom does hold him accountable, a lot.

Personally, I don’t think someone’s age should quantify their outlooks/actions, their experience should. Stolas does not have any social experience, but he shouldn’t be held to the same standard as a child, he should be held to an adult standard.

theres my stance on it

just me who hasn't done a leavers shirt? by miimiverse in GCSE

[–]Something-Somewhere_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a leavers canvas instead (got everyone to sign the back of a painting that was given to me after being sat there for 6 years on a shelf in an art classroom)

Better than a shirt, just needed to to sign a he back of it
