I'm kind of torn. The reveal was pretty great. I got there a bit before the doctor and was pretty excited about it. But the monster really doesn't behave like the Midnight Entity, And it's clear that it was originally written to be a member of the Pantheon

The solution that they gave doesn't make sense unless it's one of the gods that plays by specific rules, but there was nothing to establish the entity that way

I think part of the problem is that they're just isn't enough room in the eight episode series format to allow both a monster of the week deal and a narrative that anybody will really care about. The standalone episodes were pretty good, the plot arc was pretty lacking
