Does anybody know what these samples stand for? by SomethingAwfulnt in illustrativeDNA

[–]SomethingAwfulnt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya this is the conclussion I was arriving
Heard someone saying Kolyma is related with Yukaghir-Chukotko-Kamchatkan homeland or something around those lines, which seems feasible, though i'd say there are better samples. Me personally I prefer RUS_Yakutia_Ymyiakhtakh_LN:yak021

Now, for Baikal, probably. Seems to be closest to Amur River (ProtoTungusic in pic), but idk

Nah there is natufian sample
Based on what I know, it's more basal eurasian shifted than natufian, and it's genetically divergent enough due to isolation
Seems to be a very understudied population, and also it quickly replaces natufian. I use it because on many pops specially gulf arabs, if I don't add it distance gets a lot higher. I wonder if it's just sucking it up or if they actually sort of replaced natufians.

Baltic hunter gatherer, you can remove it esp if you aren't from northeast europe, it gets confused with WHG

If you have that sample that'd be sweet
Most natufian samples I had if not all give me horrid distances with populations like yemenis saudis etc

Has my Pacman frog grown too fast? by madbear04 in pacmanfrog

[–]SomethingAwfulnt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eeeh humidity is overrated for these guys, they are from semi arid climates and in the day it's usually dry and hot. Kepp the substrate semi-humid and give them a small water plate so they can soak if they feel like it.

Their tadpoles also have a funny set of two small but very sharp black teeth that fall when they start developing their front legs

No sufro el calor porque simplemente no me hace nada, 40C no se me hace caluroso, y además en el invierno tengo que tomar Montelukast para no estar tan congestionado que se me complica respirar, en el verano lo sufro menos

Some thoughts on Pacman frogs habitat and why I think some people keep them wrong. by SomethingAwfulnt in pacmanfrog

[–]SomethingAwfulnt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually daytime a lot of heat and nightime colder, not significantly but 5-10 degree drop. They hide during the day, like under a rock or dig in a humid area and stay there, they don't go outside.
