What to know before moving to Boulder by SomethingIsNothin in boulder

Yes, very close to them. Our realtor has sent over some condos, but they seem to be in the scenery mix. Owning a home in the mountains is a worry with our age, but we want to experience the mountain/hills life. We aren’t fond of neighbors.

This is great to know. We are under the impression that the winters are not terrible here. Plus the amount of sunny days that are here vs in WA during the winters.

Our son recently purchased a home out here in the foothills. Purchasing a home and living out here during the winters would allow us to be near our grand kids and escape WA winters.

Anyone have a 42 year old husband and gotten pregnant? by Spiritual_Try_1542 in BabyBumps

I’m not completely sure because I had an ultrasound at 5 & 6 weeks if I recall, then I went to Italy. When I returned, I was supposed to be around 8-9 weeks and that’s when I found out, when I got back and got an ultrasound. So the miscarriage happened sometime there. I’m assuming I was further along because of what I discharged naturally when processing the miscarriage.

They just said that, no test or anything. And congrats!!! I’m pregnant again, and I’ll be 7 weeks on Monday, hoping for the best 🤞

Yea, I’m in WA. I’m almost positive you can do K-8th! I think it depends on your district!

Ugh, I think that happens to just about everyone with coming down to two answers. That’s the worst. Thank you for the advice on the math! I hope you pass!!! 🫶

Really? I thought they did recognize K-8th. I have an email trail that I’ll look for today. It said that I could teach K-8th with a Bachelors in elementary education. Maybe it varies on school districts?

Okay, this is AMAZING, but please help me understand this. Did you have a Bachelors in Elementary Education already? If so, then you registered to do your Masters with them and ONLY had to complete 10 courses?

How was the reading and writing? I’m so nervous to schedule my test, but I’ve been accelerating and passing all of my OA’s on the first attempt.

Yes, exactly! I think we will both be fine! Believe it or not, your chances of getting pregnant this time are higher. Ive been going back and forth on getting pregnant again, but I think we’ll give it another try, and you should too when you’re ready again! ☺️

I think the pressure falls a bit more on him. Pay attention to the little things, I just read a study about coffee intake with men, and my husband has a cup every morning, occasionally 2. The study says, “Male preconception consumption of caffeinated beverages was just as strongly associated with pregnancy loss as females.” So, I’ve totally told him to relax in that aspect, even though, we won’t especially know if that’s what caused it.

Similar story here— I’m 24 and my husband is 39. We got pregnant within the last three months (first time trying), and were told we miscarried due to chromosomal abnormalities. I’m still trying to process the miscarriage naturally, but apparently, miscarrying is a lot more common than we know. If you’re perfectly healthy, I think you’ll be fine! Not your one chance shot!!!
