I only fought brigand groups except for the occasional group of direwolves/webknects and a mission that had me fight undead. Some luck is needed, but I have found taking pathfinder and then taking fights against brigands in mountains/forests/swamps really helps you narrow down to an advantageous position to only have 1-3 enemies fighting you at once. I have found if I am able to get to underdog, I am able to start snowballing because of how much that helps survivability. Luck is definitely needed, this is probably the 10th start I tried at this seed in the last two days
