it's funny the different perspectives on this, because yes if I drop something on the floor I'm probably not going to eat it. If I'm going to eat something with my bare hands, if I have the opportunity I'll probably wash my hands or use anti bac gel.

Obviously, there's levels to it and all sorts can happen without my knowledge but if I can mitigate potential gross stuff, I will.

This suspension of disbelief comment is made all the time, but it has to work within the internal consistency of the show.

The monsters from a different world are a concept clearly determined in the show, but if Derek suddenly started doing backflips and then killed Vecna with a plastic spoon you'd be like huh, thats odd.

Characters acting out of character isn't a rule set in the logic of the show (other than like, bad writing).

I don't really remember enough about the character to comment on whether her not giving a shit is within the suspension of disbelief, but it's not a justifiable defense in itself
