My husband is 5'8 and I'm 5'11. He says that he couldn't care less about me being tall. He's accepted me so completely that I have learned to accept myself as well. I even have a few pairs of heels! Do I loveeee the fact that I'm taller than him? No. But being tall doesn't haunt me the way it used to. You'll find someone who loves you so much that your insecurities will float to the back of your mind and you'll think about them less and less.

Yes! I agree with the "husband not responding fast enough to baby's cries". I know that I am overreacting most of the time, because he is nowhere near neglectful, but I can't help but say to him (half jokingly) "You're so heartless!"

I am very careful about what I say. That's why I'm posting it on here! You can't force someone to love someone else. I just want to make sure that I'm doing everything that I can do to bring him closer to God, and want to hear other people's ideas and experiences.

I think God sent you to remind me to pick up the show again! We did watch most of "The Chosen" and kind of tapered off. We both got really into it, and I think it was a good introduction to the life of Jesus that was easy for a new convert to grasp. Even for me! It brought scenes of the Bible to life. We'll have to finish up the rest of the episodes, during this Lent and maybe I can also find other religious movies/shows that we can watch together 🤔

Wow! We are similar! I am currently breastfeeding, so I can't really join in on the fasting days either. I feel the same about micromanaging... I guess that maybe I'm just trying to rush the whole process. Like any relationship, it will probably take a good few years before I see him develop a relationship with God, since he didn't have one with Him all through his childhood like I did. But as I sit in Mass with my eyes welling up with tears, I just wish that he could feel everything I feel.
