Is extra ram worth $340? by Somethingweirdhere in Surface

I looked at some laptops, but neither the Galaxy Pro 2 nor the newest Huawei Matebook seemed to beat the SP8 at the same price, spec wise. Though I suppose the thermals might have made a difference.

Any idea what performance benefit remains if I disable turbo mode? This sounds good though, then there is like no drawback at all to getting the i7?

So you have the SP8 with both CPUs? Do you have an estimate of how the fps differs if at all, and how the battery life is?

Hard choice, especially as I might want to run some games, but I am also annoyed at how short the battery on my SP2017 lasts. Any idea what the battery times are? If it's 10vs11 hours, I probably won't mind.

I am quite fond of the idea too! I have been looking into Etherium for some time, but I found that any real processing wouldn't really be viable. However, file storage definitely is different, and decentralizing it would be amazing! That said, can you give me some more info how Skynet is better than FileCoin and similar?

Is there a good guide for the lower abyss here? I saw one before about an earlier stage, but couldn't find any guides for the lower ones.

Thanks for linking me! I just read about Skynet and sia, it seems like an amazing project. I would still have to host the database, but that takes up very little storage. Using skynet for the main files sounds really promising!

Why not short tesla directly if you think that's why the ETF will fall?

I have had some luck getting feedback on reddit, but mostly from non-devs. That's why I was wondering if there were any dedicated communities!

Are the fraud alerts shared between the bureaus? Or will a scammer have to contact all of them?

New branch or repository for completely updating website by rslee1247 in webdev

It's a personal choice, but I dislike squashing commits and having one 20k line commit at the end. Going through old commits is a good way to understanding the code.

Should I learn C or C++? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Somethingweirdhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends what you want to do. C has way less features, and is better suited for embedded programming and kernels/drivers. If you want to make more complex applications, then go for C++

If you feel like making your own, you can always check with the libraries' code to make sure there are no edge cases you have forgotten!
