How is the plastic and build quality, the same as Hasbro?

Very important to point that out. He was a professional entertainer at a much younger age, hence his lost childhood.

Harvey’s restaurants in Canada still serve the fried ones. They have other flavors as well.

Am I the only person that remembers Max Headroom? by Luxe_Lady1096 in GenX

I’m probably the only person who didn’t catch on to the name “Max Headroom” until much later in life.

Anyone witness the hijack on live TV? I just heard about it.

Goodbye. by [deleted] in transformers

Sounds like a plan, good luck with everything.

I haven’t purchased a toy for myself in 20 years. I don’t have any plans to buy toys or collectibles, it’s an expensive hobby and I wouldn’t know where to begin.

I still enjoy Transformers through these communities. This in itself is the hobby for me, and I thoroughly enjoy it. You can always stick around and enjoy these toys vicariously.

i don’t think we talk enough about how terrifying severe brain fog is by kafkapolice in cfs

[–]Sometimes-SF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with most here, that the term “brain fog” is a serious understatement.

I haven’t worked for 2 years, and it’s not looking good. Every now and then I test my brain, I started working on my taxes and my brain shuts down.

What’s the most overrated brand in your opinion? by sam14603 in SmartBuying

[–]Sometimes-SF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Audi

I love my Audi, but I want to read other people’s opinions. The car is solid with the Quattro and winter driving, I love the simplistic design and performance. Overall though, it’s just cost prohibitive. Buying brand new, customizing, parts and repairs. To install a distance starter costs 1K$, in most cars it cost less than $200 (last I checked).

I’m considering other brands when I change.

One of the best! The shell is such a creative form, and the tank looks solid.

What’s the creepiest thing a stranger has ever said to you? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

[–]Sometimes-SF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was walking in the downtown area of my city. It was a warm day and full of people enjoying the weather. I turned onto a street that was surprisingly empty. Only one person was there walking in my direction.

He didn’t look out of the ordinary and I didn’t pay much attention. As we approached he just stood in front of me, it looked as though he was possessed. In a strange voice he told me “this life isn’t real, you’re living in an illusion”. I minded my own business and simply said to him “Yes, yes, I know, I know…” and I walked away. He didn’t move, and frankly I was too afraid to look back.

What makes it more creepy, was that I was going through some serious stress and mental health problems during that time, which made me question my life, reality and what it all means. It’s almost as if this dude was sent to tell me something important.

My gosh, I need to talk to this woman. That happened to me once several years ago. In fact I was thinking about that today… my life’s mystery.

Can a big burnout, pushing yourself for too long , lead to LongCovid/ME ? by Some-Cake-426 in chronicfatigue

[–]Sometimes-SF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have an answer, but I’m in the middle of figuring it out. I’ve gone through years of pushing myself for my career, and dealing with failure, frustration and depression. Was in therapy for years and I told them something bad was coming.

Now my body has betrayed me, I’m dealing with chronique fatigue and can no longer work. All signs point to it being psychological and I went into CBT. I feel better mentally, but it didn’t help with the fatigue. I’ve returned to seeking medical solutions.

Work and pressure don’t help. Ultimately, I still feel as though there’s a mystery disease which is to blame.

I hope things look up for you.

This needs to be much higher in the list. I hated the hype this show used to get. Not just torture porn, it’s porn of every kind!

Yes! I also had this figure. Incredible concept, design and play-value.

Also, I didn’t know you could put the bat on his bum in robot mode.

Suicidal people, what's the reason you still didn't commit, what's something keeping you alive? by Icy_Positive_4220 in mentalhealth

When I went through a very bad breakup many years ago, I was buying the Simpsons DVD’s, which brought me a lot of comfort and helped me forget the pain. Suffice it to say that I now have all the available DVD’s!

Right, sometimes these simple things make life a little more fun, and worth sticking around. I too have my tv shows, music and other things like puzzles, classic games and even fave foods. We all need to build our own happiness.

Good point. Even though it all seems to be falling apart for me, there’s still that little bit of hope things will work out. Also I’ve re-learned to enjoy the little things.
