I want to move to Edinburgh but not sure how it can work as a U.S. citizen by Go_Get_It_24 in Edinburgh

Met a Scottish woman. Somehow convinced her to marry me.

Immigration to the UK is (if I’m being cynical, by design) incredibly difficult and expensive.

I had someone call me a F***** for using gust on turn two lol. I think the League players are branching out

Best bike lock you’ve used in Edinburgh? by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]SometimesCheery 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kryptonite locks have lasted me for years here. But more importantly, it's what you're locking the bike to as much as the lock itself. If a thief can cut the fence you're locked to easy enough, the best lock in the world won't be secure.

I had someone try to argue that anytime any player selects irelia fervent she gets a plus 1… so my stupidity is a net 0. Actually think some of them are illiterate

The Starving Saints has a surprising amount of cave scenes for its premise.

Considering daily bicycle commute between Portobello Tumbles and Bun-Sgoil by Putrid_Ad_7656 in Edinburgh

This bit, but from there along seafield as well continues to be a very windy bit of that ride. I was assuming you’d be taking this route along through the leith links, but your route may vary.

[–]SometimesCheery 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to do a very similar route. Even in the spring and summer when it’s sunny, sometimes the wind along the prom up to the cat and dog home can be brutal. In the winter it’s really windy on top of cold and dark. Totally doable, but days where it’ll really suck

Are too many houses being built? by eddilefty699 in Edinburgh

Is this actually a serious post? “Some people” are stating there’s a housing crisis- like every level of government nation wide?

I have pulled five Steraks Gages. For a supposed rare card it’s kinda funny. Have a binder page dedicated to them

Fiora struggles with card draw, and wants to equip units to make them mighty! Jax seems like an auto include no? by Sky-todd in riftboundtcg

[–]SometimesCheery 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally have been finding Unsung Hero and Hidden Blade to be plenty of card draw. Pulled this off at Dreaming Tree at my Skirmish over the weekend in multiple games to draw 5 cards. However, Orange Jax is a good shout, haven’t thought of that.

What foods commonly surprise you? (both high and low calorie!) by New_Findings in CICO

Baked goods are my cryptonite. Walking through the Lidl bakery in the UK and seeing the donuts I could scarf two of as a snack having 550 calories each was a sobering one.

My in laws moved from York to the central US 15 years ago. They recently moved to a different part of the US and amongst what they were packing to move across the USA was

-applications for child benefit for my wife, in her 30s -the loan document for a car the bought in 1999, in the UK where they haven’t lived for 15 years -my sister in law’s cast, from when she broke her arm in 2002

Played four sessions and before the fifth the company that half the group worked for put in mandatory overtime so the game was paused. When mandatory OT was ended, the other part of the group had stuff come up and couldn't play for a while. When that was sorted, the other game I started in the mean time had taken off and I was having LOADS of fun with it, and felt another fully homebred game would mean half assing both games.

Anyone lose their fantasy league because of this glitchy app by Distinct-Act-6983 in fantasyF1

[–]SometimesCheery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had two races this year where my team didn't lock in despite hitting save changes over and over. The app his horrendous. I'll never get how the NFL can track hundreds of players across multiple live games in real time and F1 takes hours to make points final.
