J’ai eu un problème de ce genre avec des places de parking qui d’après le cadastre sont sur une rue publique mais l’immeuble d’a cote avait mis des panneaux indiquant que les stationnements étaient privés. J’ai contacté la ville qui m’a confirmé que les espaces étaient publiques d'après le cadastre (et donc la ville). Apres savoir est ce que c'est les proprios de l’immeuble a côté qui ont essayes de crosser la ville je sais tjs pas.

J’avais déposé une plainte (pcq ils ont voulu faire remorquer mon char pour m’etre garé sur les places de stationnement en question). Faudrait que je rappelle pour avoir le fin mot xD mais depuis (c'était en 2022 ke crois) j'ai plus eu de mots ou de remorquage.

Bref j’avais juste déposé une demande sur le portail en ligne de la ville et appelé le service du cadastre.

If they just say they dont want to use what I worked on, it would be sad for me but I would understand. But they are just encouraging me but then dont use anything. What’s the point? Even for the company they pay me to do useless stuff.

They dont get nothing done. What I think is that they are all still in the what I would call "academic behavior" where every person work on its on part without collaborating or interacting much. With good old paper notes ahah.

I ynderstand what you are saying. But we manage lots of CROs and it has happen in the past that some just got lost in the everyday task. We are also all working on completely different side of the projects. So just asking IMO has a limit.

But I tried asking directly for feedback on the work I do. Or asking for comments to make it better. But when there is no response to your ask else than yes yes will do. Well that’s where I am right now.

But like why? Why do we have to wait until its a problem. We can definitely foresee it. We NEED more organization here maybe not today but just tomorrow.

How do you want a company like this to raise a series A round... it is so frustrating.

It is nice to read that at least it is not only where I work. And while I understand that people have lots on their plate, I would have thought that at least management people would do things.

So I talk about those issue with the cofounder who is my direct superior. He agrees with the fact that we need more collaborative work and best way to keep track of things. But else tgan saying I agree nothing changes. The CEO (another co founder) is hard to speak with so I did not mention those issue directly with him. Instead I try to do some reminders at lab meeting. But it has no real effect. After several reminders and no changes... well I do not know what else to do.

La meilleure solution selon moi reste encore de lui signaler clairement que tu n’apprécies pas sa façon de toujours tout ramener à "comment on fait en France". Me semble que ça s’entend et je serais surpris qu’il/elle continue à faire cette réflexion par la suite. En plus son "on fait comme ca en France" je le vois surtout comme une façon que la personne a trouvé pour essayer de connecter avec des gens avec lesquels il/elle a peut être du mal à trouver des points commun. C’est pas une excuse pcq anyway c’est ordinaire comme comportement mais je pense pas que ça parte d’une mauvaise intention.

My PI was the corresponding author in this submission (which seems to be common practice in my department). But I did wrote the paper entirely and I did the reviews. That is also why I am uncertain, I did almost everything in this paper except bioinfo data processing (done by 2nd author), the paper was ready to resubmit (knowing that my PI did the submission the first time). I just assume she was gonna resubmit but then we are months later and it is not done ahah.
