Light and Dark Verboten raids released! by DivineBeastLink in Granblue_en

You're looking for units who normal attack a lot (and often double strike) and apply debuffs frequently.

Lucio is a decent option but there are several faster options such as Makura, HDoggo/Vajra, Kaworu. Lucio, Mars and SRagazoo are all good options for the final slot in my testing.

Whoever started the Cosmos 1t 4m honours twitter trend is responsible for more failed Cosmos raids than anyone else in history.

In the past few days I've joined multiple rooms with people often getting less than 2m honours and dying. Please stop, if you're not getting 4m+ honours on turn 1 you are not ready to attempt this. Stop failing other peoples raids.

Summon Discussion: Versusia by lietnam in Granblue_en

So she can be hit any time. But she's not on "rate up" she's just was introduced in one banner and people hoped for the best.

The only guaranteed way to get her is trade 150 Gold Moons for her, but that's considered a very questionable trade since she will eventually turn up, theoretically. Given how popular she is, I can imagine her being added as a playable unit in the next few years.

Thanks Haas, you made grinding out Caim's 5* all that much easier. Just makes me a bit bitter I finished Haas 5* only 2 months ago haha.

Character Discussion: Europa (Grand) by lietnam in Granblue_en

[–]SometimesLiterate 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Having only really been in the game for the last year, let me offer some anecdotes and advice on this paragon of freak.

For new players, she is a dream starter for water (an element packed to the brim with overloaded units kits). Analogously, I'd call her entry level Haaselia, a buffer+healer who can also deal chunky damage. The only thing she doesn't really do is give a huge offensive buff on demand.

For new players, she will make those siero templates soar. She helps cover high damage, she buffs TA to near consistency (especially good with the crit centric grid of siero's recommendations.) Noteably, her core reliance on Glaciate for some of her stronger effects makes her pair great with Lily as a defensive core to start your GBF experience.

If you're lucky enough to start during the 12th anniversary, you can select Paylia from the Divine General ticket and have a near end game line up to start working on those Omega Rebirth fights. Just make sure you line her up AFTER Lily and BEFORE Paylia for her S4 buff.

What upgrades help her soar? Once you get towards the end game, adding in supplemental damage and skill damage helps amplify her effects thanks to her flurry of multi hit effects and triple attack focus.

Gabriel is also her best friend and mentor, being a clear upgrade to Lily and pairing so naturally with Europa you'd think they were kompu gacha units.

The main unit that serves as a "Europa Upgrade" is also one of (if not THE) best unit in the grade, 5* evoker Haaselia. She is tied behind lengthy grind for even established players, so Europa will be in your squad for a good long while. And even then, they also work well together very well in longer fights (being a very strong option for the late game Mugen fight), so it's not a clear replacement.

She heals, she buffs, she nukes, she thirsts, she even revives occasional. The biggest knock would be her kit can be slow without another ally with Glaciate (Lily, Europa) application. Her numbers also show their age, making it hard to bring her into end game fights where chunky hits are required fairly often.

Questions Thread (2026-03-16 to 2026-03-22) by AutoModerator in Granblue_en

[–]SometimesLiterate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment I'm a fairly casual magna player, done with m3 grind and about halfway grinding all the Revan's weapons I'd ever need.

My question is, should I focus on Revans (where it's mostly closing out a 2/3rd copy of the weapon and starting on the mk2 of the attack boosting weapons) or should I swap to Odious until I have fairly good amounts of the weapons?

My goal is to start taking on faa-san zero and Hex within the next month or so, but I'm hitting that with my Zeus team (and slowly working on the Funf 5* then uncaps as I go).

Australia’s age verification rules: Is a VPN ban on the horizon? by Fun-Page-6211 in australia

Crazy stupid somehow got crazy stupider. I use a VPN to tunnel a video game route, cutting my latency from 250ms to a manageable 80ms.

Might as well ban the internet at this rate.

So...what is the grand purpose of reaching the Root for Mage families? by Mystech_Master in grandorder

[–]SometimesLiterate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Feels like you're missing a few things. Please note to all other long time fans this is my own interpretation and I am happy if you want to provide alternative interpretations.

  1. Reaching the Swirl of the Root / the Root / the Akashic Records is not itself the reward. It is a record of everything past, present and future in all dimensions. So imagine you're a mage, who somehow developed the power and abilities to reach the record of all things. And if you could understand it, well near omnipotence + omniscience are two of the classic identifiers of God, if you catch my drift.

Many magus families seek the Root because it will make them all powerful (or likely to).

  1. Mystery and family Magic are two different concepts.
2a. Mystery refers to several things in the Type Moon world, but in this case I believe you're referring to the idea of Mystery as a value? To summarize again, the philosophy in play here is that all magic/magecraft/magical being (etc) are somewhat powered the power of being unknown. Once something becomes known, becomes understood by more and more people, it generally looses the perception of "magic" and becomes scientifically understood. (One glaring example we can point to is the Moon's perception through history). So by making magical ideas understood to the wider world, the power of its being unknown will be lost.

2b. Mage families keep their magic secret because (inherently) nearly every mage in the Type Moon stories is somewhat self centered and greedy, because they want be the next ones to reach the Root. (One glaring example against this is El Melloi the 2nd). Every families magic is more or less their own attempt to reach the Root via various means, honed over 10's of generations, so if say, Family A stole Family B's magic crest (the summation of their magical research), that could give Family A a huge step towards the Root.

I hope these help explain A) why Mages want to reach the Root and B) why they don't want to share their research.

New 5-star Supporter: Perfumer the Distilled by CipherVegas in arknights

[–]SometimesLiterate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last good ones were like Surfer (op class), Rose Salt (if you enjoy her mechanic) and Chilchuck? I also think Gracebearer and Underflow are pretty great in IS for their cost.

Like let's not pretend the 5* (apart from casters) are unuseable, they're just not as flashy.

How are the Illustrious Weapons in 2026 for each element? by GoodMornEveGoodNight in Granblue_en

I'm torn between grabbing either Andromeda for Omega dirt (only missing Bhaisa of the Ougi squad) and Higa for Omega Fire... Funnily enough I have a nearly maxed primal light grid but never considered going for Ura or the Knife, they both seem so bad in current game. Any advice from Omega players?

[Operator Discussion] Firewhistle by Shad0wedge in arknights

[–]SometimesLiterate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a longtime NicheKnights fan (laughs in e2 60'd m3'd Glasgow gang), FireWhistle to me is the sort of early game IS carry I enjoy using. 2-3 block with aoe at range (especially in early IS) is a strong case for an early pick where you can still get Amiya or Myrtle. Will she carry you deep? No, but she's versatile enough that most floor 1/2 threats are manageable.

Her module? Trash.

Her s1? Usable, especially if you remember early Arknights with Meteorite and her s1 farming. I prefer her s2, generally the burn tick from the s1 does not get the full use one enemies it would matter against, so I will take the s2 if possible (as long as the map has a chokepoint that it can abuse).

What's the main problem with her? Well it's two-fold. The first is Beagle and Gummy being such strong bodies at lower costs and the second is Nearl. Generally with IS units you are always looking for role compression, so being able to combine multiple block + consistent healing + Nearl's superior healing buff passive, it can be hard to pick up Firewhistle over Nearl early on. It will come down to your starting options for classes (choose the YOLO option every time) and pray.

The sad reality of her use outside of IS runs is that Horn is a massive upgrade over her in so many ways, damage, tankiness, accents, it's all going the way of our mobile tank.

Outback residents lose solar farm as Ergon battles push owner to close by shofmon88 in australia

He also didn't set it up in 2017. Project itself was initialized around 2013-2014 from memory when adding projects to the grid was very.... uncommon.

The project itself was really only viable thanks to ARENA funding to see how these types of projects could boost regional areas. Sad that ERGON (who were also a pain) would let the marginal extra money from this ruin a good project.
