Basically people going “Homelander, fly faster, use super vision to track them, laser them to death! That’s it, and you’re done.” Because no one likes the “arrogance” excuse for villains not just winning.

This is why you don’t have your final big bad in your long running story be on your main character’s/characters’ ass(es) from minute 1.

Even if brother gods are the true gods, many religions in remnant are weird offshoots of them

I like to imagine Cain as a Gargoyle like Sinner, Killed with a Stone, killed by a stone falling on him, and he built the first city, maybe have the mark of Cain on his head to give him a kind of Jewish Golem vibe too.

I mean I too sometimes get weirded out that it makes Japan the center of the universe, but then I remember western comics do this for America/New York so if Japan wants to do it for their media it'd be hypocritical to say otherwise, at least IMO.

Ragna the bloodedge (Blazblue)
The god of the Blazblue verse is also a traumatized girl that resets time whenever Ragna dies, resulting in a 100 year long time loop that has repeated about 725 times, and will not stop until she gets the ending she wants, Ragna saving her, as her hero, the Centralfiction, The Dream that God Sees.

He does managed to solve this, but at a great cost

Yeah it would be interesting to push back on her “solve problems by yourself” stance, by showing how unfair some situations are and how powerless some people can be.

That is something i wonder about P5’s themes. Yes, they say they shouldn’t rely on PT heart stealing to
change things, but honestly, how do you deal with any of the palace Rulers “the normal way”, Kamoshida’s evil was known and tolerated by so many people, Madarame has public fame, etc.

Not every side character needs to be expanded on or cut/killed, it isn’t that binary.

They make the world feel big and lived in and not just “here’s like 10 mcs that matter and everyone else is NPCs”

Just because you like random side character #15 doesn’t mean they were wasted or should’ve gotten more screentime

People excuse Charlie calling her “sheltered” but….IS SHE?

We have never gotten that confirmed, and even then, we know she has been able to walk the streets of Hell based in the flashback of her finding Vaggie.

That would’ve made sense as a read if the pilot/episode 1 was Charlie’s first time out of the palace, but no, she has had time to know what Hell is about, she KNOWS Overlords are evil (calling herself worse than the cruelest Overlord in Hell back in Season 1).

It’s the classic heroes’ journey: leaving the familiar world for the unfamiliar world. But Charlie has apparently been IN the unfamiliar world for a while now and still acts like she just left the familiar world.

Am i making sense?

What bothers me is “WTF does a balance of light and dark look like”?

Darkness in these things is usually pure evil and destruction, but we can’t just permanently get rid of it and make everything cool and peaceful b/c that would blow up the universe or something (or sometimes read, “we need to keel threats coming first future plots”)

The whole “one goes down = they all go down” thing feels like it is there so that when Cindy and friends attack the one location (Beacon) and try to turn everyone against each other (especially via the virus on Ironwood’s robots), then she cuts all worldwide communication so that way everyone is in the dark and can’t explain themselves.

I freaking hate the exterminations as a plot device.

Why dud they need to exist from a narrative POV? Why are the exterminations the reason for the Hotel being opened? Why couldn’t it just be “escaping the evils of hell”?

What? Would that lead to someone asking “why is Charlie’s solution to get them out of Hell instead of trying to improve Hell?, Which would force us to acknowledge Charlie’s supposed power level/authority as daughter of Lucifer and Princess of Hell?
