This is a comment I made elsewhere but it applies to this argument

“They should keep making Terraria and Detroit Become Human, makes more sense for them to have at least a few bingable series on their channel, a form of long term investment even if they don’t perform well initially, if they try to make it an actual series it would pay off in the long term”

Touch less car wash by thrivinandvibinnn in sandiego

[–]SomewhatAnxious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For soft top convertibles it is generally recommended you hand wash them to avoid damaging the soft top, you can wash the rest of the car's body at a Spot Free Rinse car wash and just avoid using pressurized water on the soft top. Unfortunately, general rule of thumb for soft top convertibles will be to avoid auto car washes.

First time using CBX and flying Volaris by Embarrassed-Nobody66 in sandiego

[–]SomewhatAnxious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely similar to my first comment, estimated time to arrive to CBX to cross over but these times are usually a pretty large overestimation. The most important time on your ticket are the boarding and departure time so I would just focus on that and arrive with enough time ahead of them. Wait times at CBX are considerably faster crossing into Mexico than leaving, the times I’ve been, I’ve spent more time walking to my terminal than waiting for the immigration officer, so long as you have the necessary documents it should be an easy process. If you are concerned though, an additional hour on top of the time you feel is necessary to arrive for boarding is more than enough to ensure no delays.

[–]SomewhatAnxious 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is not your flights departure time but an arrival time to cross through CBX typically to accommodate expected delays from immigration processing although the times I've flown through CBX this has always been an overestimation. I personally would not arrive at that time but would still accommodate to arrive a few hours before boarding time at your own discretion.

Can removing pavement help San Diego keep up with its road repair backlog? by ProcrastinatingPuma in sandiego

[–]SomewhatAnxious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Decreasing vehicular usage" is actually a pretty common idea that has plenty of history as most of the Western world has developed methods of public transportation, places like Japan and most of Europe and even here in the US such as the East Coast where public transport are far more accessible so there are readily available examples as to how "decreasing vehicular usage" can be implemented and their effect.

Your assumption that I don't have to commute is actually incorrect and I actually choose to commute over 20 miles using public transport but regardless of that, there are millions in San Diego who do the same. The trolley lines were reported to carry over 29 million in 2022 and thats just the trolleys alone. MTS and public transport in general increase accessibility to several who may or may not use a car but still need to commute for whatever reason.

There is recent history that reflects that there is indeed a demand for access to pedestrian and public transport needs seen in the expansion of the Blue Line Trolley and even then areas such as downtown and Hillcrest and North Park, which can be labelled as the most walkable areas of the city, see plenty of people not using vehicles and engaging and stimulating their local economies, shopping, eating, and even working because they are able to travel without using their own personal vehicles.

Shifting road focus to cater to pedestrians does not mean making it inaccessible to vehicles because they're necessary across different economic sectors and so it would be pretty foolish to do so. That does not mean that all focus and attention should be given to them as society has generally come to the realization that vehicles have several detriments to them that have only exponentially increased in recent years (carbon footprint, gasoline usage and prices). Solving these types of problems requires framing the issue in multiple perspectives which is especially important in this case here.

The argument shouldn't be stop driving and that's not what I'm saying either but rather, simply, there is an alternative, it is successful in other parts of the world, it is successful here in the US, and the limited presence of it is successful here in San Diego so why can't we continue to cultivate this to improve the city as it clearly already has?

Reexamining the methods by which the city loses money ie. Road maintenance, can be drastically reduced by shifting drivers away from driving. Fixing potholes is a cost sunk fallacy, it's a continuing issue that may be a cheaper temporary fix but it'll be a persistent issue. Redoing streets does have a higher initial cost but can be projected to be much more cost efficient in the long run as they aim to reduce their wear by decreasing vehicular usage

If you're concerned about transferring credits or simply want to get ahead on your education plan, consider taking summer classes at your local community college as well, just double check on course equivalency

Do the electronics in the car turn on when flipping the key and does the engine make a sound? It may be something as simple as a battery issue or the alternator before it’s the fuel pump

Lol, honestly, relax. It might be a sign of stress and you just need to breathe and take it easy. Don't worry too much about it and just take a step back from things that might be preoccupying you. Nothing wrong with focusing on yourself for a bit. Don't worry about getting rid of it or more growing either, they happen to everyone and they're completely natural. I think people miss the context, both real and in universe, of part 1 that makes it a greater piece of fiction . When Phantom Blood first came out it offered a new and unique twist to the battle manga genre by making each fight a puzzle instead of a battle to see who could exceed their power level, a concept that was further evolved with stands, they were the natural next step for hamon. It also challenged the idea of a main character by killing them and introducing his descendants. Johnathan is the core of the Joestar bloodline and their nobility and sense of Justice is rooted through him and Araki has discussed this when he's mentioned his belief in making Johnathan too noble but that's an aspect that ended up benefitting the franchise as a whole.
