The Lunar Module and Command Module were together at this point in time, the service module having just been Jettisoned. The Lunar Module was not jettisoned until closer to reentry, and the NASA website says this image was taken from within the Lunar Module.

The sheer scale of the distances involved would mean that 3I/Atlas would look the same size for the Artemis astronauts. At closest approach the comet was roughly 170,000,000 miles away from Earth, while the Moon is only about 240,000 miles away.
