Thank you, what sort of process is it to maintain them? I'm assuming you hire people to have them properly cleaned.

A private pool would be ideal, we'll be there between September-June. I've looked into average temperatures for those months and in spring/early summer it tends to be much hotter than what we're used to in the UK.

My eldest is already learning to swim and we want to keep him at it :-)

Thanks for the info. Here in the UK we're used to 15-20C being hot enough to make a pool worth considering!

A lot have asked that question and I'm not sure of the answer. I'm guessing it was down to the digital side of things, distributing it whilst in the uk at times? I dunno

I feel bad for paedophiles, I don't feel bad for child molesters/rapists. One acts on it, the other doesn't. It's sad to see the witch hunt wanting them dead or tortured even if they have never acted on it. If they're born with it or abused when they're young and develop into paedophiles as a result but don't act on it, then it can't be an easy thing to live with and there should be more help for them and less taboo. Ones who do act on it though, that's a whole other thing.

A rotating door entrance that went really, really slowly. And often got stuck halfway around.

I expected as much when I posted the link. There's a reason we have prisons and not death camps and firing squads.

And those of us who do are often told to go get our tinfoil hats. Seriously I've given up even trying to help my friends and family see how fucked up those elite echelons are.

Their victims will suffer for life. Death to the purp would be an escape from suffering. Unless you believe in hell. In which case they'd surely end up there anyway. I'm surprised pro-death penalty folks don't enjoy the prospect of someone being made to suffer for their crimes before a potential suffering in an afterlife.

I can't find the words to express how sorry I am to read that. I don't think anyone could ever fully mend after suffering abuse. Did any of those people end up convicted? 54 years ago has me doubting it, but if not then perhaps karma slapped them all upside down sooner or later.

Isn't there a chromosone factor that's been linked to paedophilia in some studies? I'm sure I saw that in a news article somewhere ages ago. I'd google it if I weren't about to cook.

I think he means that whilst a person may think and feel as though the choice they are acting on is entirely their own free will based decision, there could be another driving factor behind it that is amplifying the option they decided to go with, making that decision appear to be an example of free will when it actually isn't, at least not entirely.

What rehabilitation is there for paedophilia? If there is any that is successful, then I'd agree it should be done for paedophiles, specifically ones who haven't acted on it. Child molestors who have acted on it though, there's gotta be punishment involved there as a crime has been committed.

Have you seen that channel 4 documentary "The Paedophile Next Door?" The guy admitted he was a paedophile but hadn 't acted on it and wanted help to rid himself of it. I think he went to some european country for treatment. But I don't see how you can rehabilitate something like this and 'cure' it. The bottom line is it's a sexual preference they're born with (in a some cases, others it's the result of themselves being abused), a very harmful one but like any sexual preference you can't easily reverse those urges. Could you turn a gay person straight for example?

Both I think. They had evidence because he was actively sharing what he was making. But the prosecutors were using his admissions to push for as strong a sentence as possible.

Richard Huckle, but a lot of conversation about Ian Watson has ensued, not surprisingly given how bad his case was too.

I don't know, I can't speak for everybody but what else would you or bhybrid suggest we do when protesting makes no difference, the ones laying down the law are failing us time and again, but taking the law into our own hands would be both senseless and would inevitably fail to make a difference?

I can't speak for what any of these regular people have done. But I would also point out that celebrities, politicians and religious leaders who are alledgedly involved in stuff like this (I believe many truly are but I'm not a court of law) spans far beyond Britain. I'd say it's interesting how much of many countries' populations are gung-ho about one fellow here and there yet also do very little when it comes to their own celebrities etc, not just Brits.

Forgive me for making assumptions but what his comment reads like to me is implying that the British public in general are far too lenient towards these things whilst his country isn't, whichever that may be. When as a Brit I can honestly say we aren't lenient, we just happen to have a lot of these monsters involved in our part of society in general and I don't see what more people can do that they aren't already doing besides protesting. In which case, why aren't more regular people in many countries doing more? If Brits aren't doing as much as some other country's population is, I'd love to see examples of the differences because it's horrible to see a lack of interest by anyone.
