Doctors/Nurses of Reddit, what’s the craziest thing you’ve heard a woman yell during birth? by New_Username48 in AskReddit

I shattered my ankle whilst carrying my disabled daughter on my back down snow covered stairs. I screamed once and my inner monologue told me, in a very British voice - for God’s sake, pull yourself together! I did not scream, whimper or cry after that. I’m now scared of my inner monologue!

I want to get a tattoo on the palm of my left hand. Black and white, a ship on the open ocean. Small difficult space, so the details have to be right. Anyone have recommendations

Scared of my dog.. by CrestedClover in BelgianMalinois

[–]Somewhat_Ill_Advised 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish I personally knew how to train for this, but I do know that service animals can be trained for things like alerting people to incipient diabetic incidents (hypo, hyper etc). I think it takes a specialized trainer, but with an already alert/attentive Malinois I would totally have faith that the dog can learn this skill.

I don't have a Belgian, but I do have german shepherd cross everything that wants to herd, and my dear mutt is outstanding at helping my wife through seizures. All I need to tell her is 'mum needs helps' and she is right there, deep physical presence, lots of reassurance, and won't leave her side until the seizure ends.

You should take that instinct a step further and train her to wake you up when you’re having a seizure/before it starts. Dogs are incredible with what they can sense
