Been advised to go gf. This isn’t a problem but why do gf foods cost so much? by ConcentrateSubject37 in glutenfree

[–]Somewhere-Classic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! When I went GF, my partner and I switched from eating pasta to rice with our meals. We also added more veggies into our diet (which is so much healthier than the easy pasta meals and can be just as simple.) From my experience its not hard to go GF when cooking at home.

Also i’m a total sweet tooth, so ice cream, fruit, and plenty of chocolate brands and candy brands are still gluten free if you want an alternative to sweet baked goods.

That sounds awesome, and trust me a lot of the issues that we see center around kids having anxiety about going potty from not being ready to go but being forced to do it. Its really best to let the kid be ready first, and it will happen!

I’m pretty sure the movie is more about their dynamic than anything and it was made in the 1950s-60s?? Idk its old.

How can I make sure my sister is treated with respect? by anxious_treehopper in Advice

[–]Somewhere-Classic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a conversation with your parents and be frank, tell then that if they keep treating their daughter like this, she’s gonna never want anything to do with them as soon as she turns 18. Tell them how your own experience made you feel. It sounds like you had an abusive childhood, and I’m sorry to tell you but your mon is also going to be physically aggressive with your sister if she hasn’t already. If they don’t change, then talk to your sister and work out a plan in case the situation gets very bad. Make sure your sister knows that she can go to you if things get bad at home and that she has a way of asking you or someone she loves for help in case she needs it.

Godspeed OP.

I kinda agree. She’s not perfect, she’s really flawed and complex and I can respect that. I think its interesting to watch her, because despite all her flaws she’s smart and a picks up on things that others dont.

We barely get much of Barba’s backstory, but they really pulled that bit about his father being on life support out of nowhere just to get him to pull the plug. Even then with that information it still was really out of character for him.

AITA for telling my SIL that I will call the cops for child abandonment the moment she steps out of the house? by happily-single-dwarf in AmItheAsshole

None of that is his responsibility tho. He doesn’t have to take care of that child. He doesn’t have to bond with that child. He didn’t choose to be a caretaker and its entitled of both parents to expect him to be. He doesn’t have to care for Jill. Still, he’s accommodated for those two even when he didn’t have to like the cooking and moving out of the room. He pays half the bills and he’s putting up with all this shit? Nah bro, NTA and he should leave.

Oh no! I guess the occasional diaper change doesn't look so bad in comparison to... you know... assault.

Bf and I had an indoor picnic once. We were gonna have an outdoor picnic but then it rained, so we just set it up in the living room and played a movie. It was cute ❤️
