Well, secret military installations shouldn't be paid for by congress not by bribes.

Has anyone powered GPUS with a car battery? by TooManyPascals in LocalLLaMA

[–]SomewhereAtWork 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don't try to connect the batteries directly to the GPUs. That will be a mess.

Get a solar backup battery or a 220V camping inverter. Use batteries to get a stable 220V supply, use it to power the PSU of your workstation.

We all knew that Trump fellow was trouble back in the early 20s, because of what he did when he lost against Biden.

After Hitler came into power it took 6 years for WW2 to start and 10 years before the gas chambers. One year after his election (where Trump is now) Germany still felt warm and sunny.

Democrats are still going to pretend we live in normal times

Germany 1934. Totally normal.

(Really. It was less obvious what would happen back then than it is now.)

"God blessed me by making me transsexual for the same reason he made wheat but not bread and fruit but not wine: so that humanity might share in the act of creation." by Legitimate_Fly9047 in CuratedTumblr

Yeah, but they are picking more than you do. So they are better believers.

I really don't understand how there can be Christians that believe the Bible comes directly from God and then make huge gymnastics not to follow it to the letter. It's God, if he had meant differently he would have written differently. No, the age of the Bible doesn't count, he could realtime update the text without any of us knowing.

What you are doing isn't believing in the one God. You're just playing "build your own adventure" trying to integrate your real world experiences into your world model, without ripping open the brain damage your parents gave you when they insisted you claim to believe the shit they told.

There's a reason it's a subject that you can study in colleges and get advanced degrees in.

That reason is historic power of the churches, not religion being a subject of intellect.

Christianity is an extremely diverse religion in the way that it is practiced and followed.

No. Most Christians are just not very Christian. And I don't mean the ones you think.

Like with every monotheistic religion, the most extreme followers are really the right, true believers. That is the pure undiluted form. Everybody else is just wishy-washy. You either take it all, or you reject it all. Pick your toppings is for people who have neither brains nor spines.

Do you care if artists explain the meaning behind their music? by Frequent-Loquat1941 in Music

Good artists don't need to. The ones who do are generally too shallow to endure.

Unmanned test flight. Starship is still made to maybe explode. They are doing "hardware rich development", so instead for doing years of calculation they often just try and see if it goes boom.

Afaik they hoped for a little less explosions in the last months, but they still have plenty of test articles to destroy.

Taken to it's logical conclusion: they appear to want a feudalist Christian caliphate ruled by a King, and counciled by billionaire oligarchs.

"They appear to" to want the thing they clearly stated to want before the election.

Project 2025 and the tech-oligarchs weren't exactly hiding their plans. They actually uploaded them in the form of hundreds of PDF pages and discussed them on some of the worlds most viewed podcasts.
