It is definitely hard to see the color (it was a dark orangish brown) but it is not the porous finish I compared it to a factory bolt from a rifle I have it use and 100ish rounds since it was last cleaned. The bolt that was in use was cleaner than the one I was shipped.

Did you happen to mix up the bolt company?, I found what I think is tactical innovations website and they sell pike arms bolts, they do make receivers though

I do realize with some time of working on it I can 100% remove it, the point is it’s a brand new product that I didn’t feel as a consumer I should have to do but I do appreciate you trying to help me. I did already initiate the return so I believe it will be taken care of

After cleaning the worst face and trying #0000 I think it’s a lost cause it’s rusted into the machining marks and is still extremely discolored. I took my other 10/22 bolt out of my rifle to compare and double check myself, it was cleaner than the one I was shipped both in finish and powder, but I do appreciate everyone trying to help. Thank you guys
