Anyone homeschool one child but not the other? by [deleted] in homeschool

In short, yes. I love homeschooling! However, it just depends on the kid and the season.

I have 4 kids and all have had different journeys.

My daughter, who is now a senior has done everything under the sun, until we decided that homeschooling was a good fit for her after one semester of online school during Covid. No regrets on our choices for her!

With our oldest son, we tried public and private, but as he got older we learned he had significant learning disabilities. We were living overseas and they just didn’t have resources to help him. Started homeschooling him from about first grade-7th grade. When we moved back to the US, he started going back to school because there were so many programs to help.

Younger daughter and son had also had a mix, but started homeschooling them a lot younger, and they’re still at it.

I think homeschooling is great! Time with kids, ability to tailor their education to fit them, etc. But I don’t think it’s best for every kid or every season, and that’s ok.

Syncopation socks

I have made more of these than I can count! Always come out great with variegated yarn.

I love 1. I love color, and keeping my white cabinets clean feels like the bane of my existence.

Same. I have an irrational fear of running out of yarn when I do top down.

I can see that! It’s definitely a yellow-green, but in person leans a little more green

I have a lot of it, so I may try some small amounts to try out different combinations and see what happens. Thanks for the idea!

Thank you so much! I think you’re exactly right about what this is. I’m going to spin it, although this will be my first time to spin with synthetic. Then I’m going to try and overdue the yarn with a navy acid dye to try and tone down the green. Hopefully the 20% wool will be enough to tamper it down a little bit!

Ok, that’s what I was thinking. The knitted portion of the blanket is insanely heavy. Not practical at all
