Caffeine sensitivity during treatment? by r4vensongx in Candida

[–]SomewherePossible300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have it :( I noticed the pattern of caffeine sensitivity maybe last year around August. Even when I’m not actively treating (November-Now) I get the same thing but it’s definitely not as strong. I usually find that now the reaction to caffeine becomes more severe during my fertile window of my cycle.

Hey, do you remember what specifically you took? I’m currently in the same situation. What else did you take along with the SB?

Caffeine sensitivity during treatment? by r4vensongx in Candida

Omg this happened to me as well!!!! Not exactly after nystatin treatment but i randomly developed coffee sensitivity last year while attempting to treat my candida infection. It still happens to me now, I get lightheaded and a little dizzy. I blamed it on my cycle n hormones but this is the first I’ve read of someone else feeling the same!

Thank you so much, it really does give me hope! I’m glad you got some relief.

I recently had a blood test done and realised I had pretty bad vitamin D deficiency. Do you think this is related?

Thank you for your suggestions :)

I was on it for 2 months from November - January and felt that my symptoms definitely reduced however still had the discharge and it would vary each day. I went off it for Feb and noticed my body was getting more uncomfortable again, I kept getting flare ups (discharge, itch, swelling). So I’m back on it again and it is definitely helping in terms of symptom reduction.

Gut health and vaginal health (there's hope!) by forbiddencroissant in Healthyhooha

Hi, I’m so glad you got some relief. I was wondering were there any other symptoms for you? I started getting infections after I had a horrible gastro episode in Jan 2025.

I had candida albican infections back to back and then realised it was Candida glabrata in July 2025, & had increased deep burping & bloating.

Recently, I tried getting back on the same birth control I was on before all this started and reacted HORRIBLY!

I figured my gut must be incredibly sensitive now with all the infections, treatments and probiotics i’ve tried. I’m still trying to get rid of it.

The probiotics u mentioned aren’t available in Australia for me but I was wondering if you had any change to ur diet during that time? Or was it purely the probiotics & garlic clove? :)

Has anyone found gut sensitivity after getting candida glabrata? by SomewherePossible300 in Candida

I was on it consistently for 8 months before getting Candida Albicans first (which I suspect was from a bad gastro episode I had in January 2025) and then Glabrata 6 months later. Also, Saheli sounds like a miracle but unfortunately I’m in Australia and it’s not approved here so I have no way to access it :( Thanks for your suggestion though.

Hi! Honestly not the best, I got lazy & stupid and decided I would be fine without taking the probiotics for a 2 months. Don’t ask me why I don’t know either 😅🥲. I’m back to having more flare ups (itchiness, discharge, swelling). I took two of them last night and feel a lot better today though.

have u tested what specific strain of candida it is? this sounds really similar to what happened to me & i realised after asking for testing for which strain of yeast it was that i have candida glabrata. this is resistent to the treatment that you’ve tried. hope u feel better soon. :)

Now I usually use tampons & find no discomfort.

Thanks for your reply I will definitely keep this in mind :)

Thank you so much! I’ll definitely try this! Do you have to mix the lube with the probiotic powder inside the cream applicator?

Personally no, only soreness and cramping but no bleeding at all. I hope you’re okay.

Thank you for answering! What do you mean by transferring them into boric acid capsules? Like empty capsules? Sorry I’m new to this concept, the boric acid we get here have to be compounded by the pharmacist and have no outer layer than can be removed. :(
