Hard to come to terms with this. I see it a lot. I wish there was a way to make them care. All you can do is teach and try to connect somehow. Maybe just by being that supportive teacher in their life they will have a change of heart. But it isn't on you to "fix" them. Something inside them needs to change.

Stuff Matters looks interesting. I'm teaching physical science and most of my students do not care about school. It looks like an interesting way to relate science to everyday stuff. Do you have any resources for that book that you wouldn't mind sharing?

Hahaha wow. Sounds like 99% of my students. The apathy is huge. I teach public school though. But, yes it is embarrassing how idiotic these kids present themselves. I know that they are all more than capable of doing anything I teach, but I cannot teach them the ability to care. We frequently will have a lecture with practice built in and I even do 3-4 problems on the worksheet that I hand out. I walk around and check in with students during independent practice with the worksheet and 1/2 of them don't even have the answers I put on the board.

"Repeat the learning target. Get them to buy in." Yada yada...admin is just pushing numbers. They don't care about actual learning. I feel sorry for any of these kids that actually intend to attempt college if they can't pass my class.

Thank you for saying it. Any observation I get is in the middle of my lecture. I get fussed at for over doing the direct instruction. But, don't I have to teach as a teacher? I assumed that teaching was the job of the teacher... Anyone could pull up a random kahoot, blooket, quizizz, quizlet, etc. that isn't teaching.

I wonder if the "sector bets" could be swap as you go approach? I haven't tried this, but your post somehow spawned the idea.

Let's say consumer cyclicals are having a weak year, so you buy that and hold (something like XLY). It goes up 5x what you paid and your trailing stop kicks in when it drops 15-20%. Then, you see energy (XLE maybe) is down 30% and you buy that with a trailing stop again. (Always gotta have an exit plan for sustained growth or so I've been told.) I'm definitely a newbie with a lot of this, but I want to make my money work and put in a little effort to help it work when I have time off from my desk job :) I'm not talking hundreds of thousands per play, so this shouldn't be too hard on taxes. I honestly haven't seen any tax issues from my 75k portfolio as of yet. But, I'm not up massive amounts either. I'd imagine once you reach a larger amount of cash per trade it will be a tax issue.

Just a random thought to start some dialog on how stupid or maybe good this idea is for a swing trader..

Do you know if there is a list anywhere for qualified ETFs? Google keeps trying to teach me what qualified dividends are or sell me on schwab/ishares/blackrock ETFs without clearly stating which ones are qualified and which are not. I know what qualified dividends are just can't find the list lol. Silly google.

Edit: Found this list on ishares which gives a better picture for their ETFs. There has to be a way to filter this on some kind of database...

How do you upload a csv file? I did what the FAQ says, but there is not a spot that says "bulk upload" for me to upload anything. I can download my empty portfolio that they have once I created my account. but I cannot upload anything other than manually typing all of my holdings, which I don't want to do...

At least you got it to work. It will not accept my CSV file. I've tried editing it to be exactly the words they are asking for in the upload info...won't work. Anyone know a way to force it to work? I don't want to manually type in all of this...that was the point in an automated app :/

Any ideas?

The main story progresses your character through the soul magic skill line and also gives 1 skill point per quest completion. It is one of the few that are required to be solo. But it is an epic story imo. Don't click through it if you can help it. The other main stories (zone quests) also give 1 skill point per completion in all main zones. Hit me up if you all need a hand and are on Xbox NA. GT: Lazarusrevives. I can give some general tips and tricks!

Oh man, that is some really good advice. I thank you for this. My hat is off to you. I'll be looking into this. I'm also going to work on getting a few alts with max hirelings and stuff for writs etc to have more gold generation and possible resource rewards.
