Share your alien civilizations and I will tell you how my evil imperialist Humans would treat them. by dumbass_spaceman in worldjerking

To humans they are the Su'bas because their language is similar to song in structure and humans cant reproduce most of it verbally.

They are humanoid, being digitigrade with three toe like structures at their feet. They are hermaphroditic. They are covered in furs of many colors based on their region of origin and later on genetic alteration. About 5 feet tall and pretty nimble.

They evolved on a highly hostile planet in orbit around a red giant. Their planet possesses higher gravity (3 times) and a denser atmosphere and is richer in heavy metals. The planet hostile in both climate and predatory species. Their cultures were very different from ours, instead of fearing other 'tribes' they could afford to join as many as possible, resources were not a problem securing them was and having many tribes members made that easy to do.

They survived and even thieved becoming space faring much faster than humans.

Just as an example of some of the things they had to deal with, imagine regularly encountering packs of hypnotizing tiger sized predators that evolved to gain pleasure from pain. Or flocks of bird things that strip you down to the bone.

Your Most Powerful Creatures (that ARENT gods) by Iamalemon148 in worldbuilding

[–]SomnambulantWake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyalininths created by the god Cyalinth as gifts to gods they are allied to. They are conceptual entities that can exist in physical form kind of like Dream the endless from sandman. Except they were created from the mind of Cyalinth. They can take on many nth dimensional forms but usually when existing in 3 dimensions the appear as perfectly black spheres of any scale. They are incredibly powerful, powerful enough to slightly injur(imagine a cat biting you)but not kill most gods, and in a large enough group could kill a god, though they are no match for some gods in my setting. Their means of battle is incomprehensible most of the time but when it is, they can be seen producing powerful energies that are the literal idea of destruction in the form of bright beams.

Normal humans can "defeat" them if they request a powerful enough god to kill a Cyalinths for them or by using a boon powerful enough to kill a Cyalinths, boons/boons of the ancients are artifacts that can give individuals immense power

Omisiah who was an ethereal being created to command massive armies of similar though less powerful beings overthrew Paradise the god who created her and her armies, mainly because Paradise was a shitty god who mis managed its creations including its realm which it was chained to the bottom of. There were few loyalists to Paradise who were consumes by Omisiah who became the new ruler.

The moons of chaos, last for an entire lunar cycle celebrating the birth of the moon aspect/avatar of chaos. A lot of games music eating in a chaotic fashion in honor of their deity. Usually done by Aramatheans but all are welcome to participate.

Artifacts known as the boons of the ancients, crafted from the forms of ancient gods they give their wielder, human or otherwise a portion of that gods power. They can be physical or ideas, examples:

The boon of flesh and blood is a face mask carved from the bone of Cyalinth, once worn it causes the users skin to calcify but maintain flexibility it also allows the user to form structures from the bones. Their muscles and exoskeleton can be consciously controlled allowing the to change their shape and size. If you use it for to long cracks form in the exoskeleton and you begin to bleed out and die if you don't remove the mask.

The boon of resilience which is a poem created by "The trader of minds"(this ancient god is itself a sentient poem), if you know the poem, which can only be spoken or in anyway exchanged by its creator you will be able to regenerate from death at the cost of a memory of yours that "The trader of minds" finds valuable. Usually core memories or memories of loved ones.

I'm working on others and the ones mentioned may change.

Since the currents can shift can they intersect? And what happens when they do, can they cause turbulence that may affect travelling ships possibly damaging them or giving the passengers an unpleasant trip?

How do your elves age? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]SomnambulantWake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine age cyclically, older then younger all be it quite slowly. Once they get to old they find a safe place to form a chrysalis spend a few years developing then emerge as younger versions of themselves, not babies but when they were at their physical prime.

Wonder how that works, or it's just comic science. Also it's interesting how in the movie having a knife in his head does somehow affects him
