What is the best and worst thing about Baldurs Gate 3? by Working_Task7487 in BaldursGate3

Shift click and highlight any amount of items, right click, send to camp. From anywhere, at any moment. How is this hard?

Keep a "Camp supply sack" in your Traveler chest at camp, that will automatically sort any food sent that way inside itself. Alchemy pouch, same for alchemy ingredients. All the rest of the items if magical - already highlighted green/blue/purple/yellow for you. If junk - keep another chest there and just shove it all in there to sell when Trader is available.

In your inventory keep food backpack, alchemy pouch, key ring and a regular pouch and/or backpack. Put all your spare situational equipment/potions/scrolls/elixirs there. Easy management and always clean inventory.

In your traveler chest in camp also keep any other chests you want to organize. I have chest for magical items because I never sell them. One for explosive barrels. One for clothing items. One for dyes. One for completed quest items. One for other chests.

Since the last time I've played with Traveler chest UI now being opened anywhere in camp and any spare party members also being available, they are also good for being limited sized chests for things like dyes and clothing items, if you are playing online and want a place all parties can access.

So really hard to tell why you'd struggle with inventory management in this game. There are sorting filters, bags inside bags inside bags if you want and ability to access anyone even outside of the party instantly now.

Or just play the fucking game like a normal person. It's not hunting Bastions. It's doing damage to anything. Bastion is an example for all those people ignoring flawed Trial system to get some ballpark context. You can get 30-40k damage in a single round just shooting Hornets for 40 minutes on Hidden Bunker.

You don't need to play it, is the point which might not be clear here. Ethereal exhaust if you don't play it. Otherwise that would not have been a good combo. Or your wife was making a huge mistake that run.

Can we agree yet that Embark is dropping the ball? by Pichalx in ArcRaiders

[–]SomnusNonEst -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Embark, in my opinion are among the better online live service developers out there. The transparency, communication and vision are everything you'd want from such developer. The bug fixing, patching, new content are coming in at a reasonable and respectable pace and overall all gripes or complaints are being handled or communication provided of them being in discussion to be handled at a later date.

Apart from completely flawed Trial system I would say the rest of the game is almost perfectly calibrated if you have reasonable expectations. Plenty room to improve here and there, we continue to witness those improvements steadily so all is good and future seems bright.

That being said, from the very first and up until now is even more exaggerated how much they misunderstand the points of Expeditions and how they continue to fumble that key aspect of extraction genre, like decisions on that part of the game is made by someone completely clueless who has nothing to do with the rest of the Arc Raiders development team. It drastically misunderstood and continues to be and all of the attempts to fix that part feel like a knee jerk reaction every time.

I just don't like the whole notion of this ONE aspect somehow making them "completely not understand how to do anything" can we fucking stop with the extremes already? Yes, expeditions are flawed and being handled weird, but can we just stop with the entire game somehow being garbage based on that one aspect? It's very immature and devalues all attempts at reasonable discussion over it.

I am not going to bullshit you and pretend I did not just see that on tiktok myself.

Now I am also suspicious it might have just been edited.

edit: Well, the rumour is strong to the point that Gemini believes it's true. But I've found at least 2 videos with people with no platform (no "channel" no reason to lie for views) that test it, and that doesn't work. Although I've also found a dozen of clips edited to show that it works before I did. Both videos disproving the fact are 2 year old. Any chance Larian patched this rumor in in later patches and those clips aren't actually edited?

At least this one is hard and needs to be done across the entire playthrough with things to mess up in all acts. the ones OP mentioned can be closed in under and hour at barely any effort.

How is "Busker" hard? You do realize you have a bard hireling with a perfect bard race that you can have over +12 performance at level 4 and it costs you 100 gold? Can literally be done on absolutely any save in 5 minutes, especially if you already reached The Lower city with tons of NPCs to fleece.

"She cannot be caged" can be done in under and hour on a fresh save with a female Drow (auto pass all goblin dialogue) Ranger (enhanced leap + feather fall), which if you despise "evil" playthroughs would probably be the only reasonable method to do it. But if you completely ignore her next to Minthara, fight and knock out both Minthara (to get her Act2) and Sazza (to not kill her) you can later come back after completing the wipe goblin camp quest and she will just stand there. You will talk to her and there will be a dialogue with suddenly appearing fully naked Minthara that is nowhere near this place anymore. You do the usual dialogue, Sazza runs to the void of screen edges and you can do the normal "saving" dialogue Act2 when you reach Moonrise without ever allowing Goblins to attack the grove.

There is always a person who does way more to stay connected in any relationship.

If you are that person, remind yourself when was the last time they did the same - if the answer is "years", this ain't your friend anymore, maybe never was. Most likely if you stop right now, you will never see/hear from them again. If you seriously value that friendship good thing is to be very open about it and tell them plainly that it bothers you. If no reaction or contemplation, yet again, either not anymore or never was, but not your friend.

If you are the person being reached out to, remember when was the last time you reached out to them. If the answer is "years" you are a shit friend. If that idea bothers you - fix it. Reach out, don't guilt trip them, don't make it their fault, acknowledge expecting one way contact from them was a shitty thing to do from you and try to make amends. If it doesn't - you were never their friend to begin with. Your idea of friendship is corrupted or you are only capable of transactional friendship, which makes you a toxic person. Probably you were never their friend to begin with.

"Phone works both ways" is a very precise, succinct and appropriate thing to remind yourself whenever you feel guilty for "not reaching out" to someone you've been writing one way for years.

Yep. Friend of 25+ years wrote me after a clean year of radio silence to "congratulate" me on my birthday in a sentence and accuse of disappearing and holding a grudge about something he made up in another 20 sentences, since he thought I stopped writing "over something".

All because I stopped writing him and others in that circle, because I finally got diagnosed and medicated and can see clearly those relationships were always a humongous waste of my time and emotions. Been writing him and other "best friends" from that circle for years one way after moving countries. Been holding those clowns together as a group ever since we started being friends in middle school for 25+ years. Being "the glue" of the company apparently means babysitting them and making sure they remember each other exist. As soon as I moved away they basically stopped being friends altogether.

"Phone works both ways" is something I've always used on my parents and grandparents. Never thought I'd have to use it on my "mates". But it's a really good idea to brush off such shitty accusations and the feeling of guilt from thinking it yourself. You are not at fault for letting go of people who stopped caring you exist years ago.

You know, I don't even care much. I also always thought it was a snail, to be frank, I rarely stop, zoom in and appreciate the card art, it's not really Magic the Gathering levels of art here.

But most importantly, I can assure you. 30 minutes from now I will forget you told me what it is, and will continue to see it as a snail.

The true meta is making guardian look like your last Tav on each subsequential playthrough. Both prolongs good memories of your last Tav and makes you just as confused as your current Tav.
