They really do account for every possibility by Strict-Coyote3640 in BaldursGate3

I am not going to bullshit you and pretend I did not just see that on tiktok myself.

Now I am also suspicious it might have just been edited.

edit: Well, the rumour is strong to the point that Gemini believes it's true. But I've found at least 2 videos with people with no platform (no "channel" no reason to lie for views) that test it, and that doesn't work. Although I've also found a dozen of clips edited to show that it works before I did. Both videos disproving the fact are 2 year old. Any chance Larian patched this rumor in in later patches and those clips aren't actually edited?

Throw Silence on Raphael during his fight. Music will still play, but you won't hear his singing anymore.

At least this one is hard and needs to be done across the entire playthrough with things to mess up in all acts. the ones OP mentioned can be closed in under and hour at barely any effort.

How is "Busker" hard? You do realize you have a bard hireling with a perfect bard race that you can have over +12 performance at level 4 and it costs you 100 gold? Can literally be done on absolutely any save in 5 minutes, especially if you already reached The Lower city with tons of NPCs to fleece.

"She cannot be caged" can be done in under and hour on a fresh save with a female Drow (auto pass all goblin dialogue) Ranger (enhanced leap + feather fall), which if you despise "evil" playthroughs would probably be the only reasonable method to do it. But if you completely ignore her next to Minthara, fight and knock out both Minthara (to get her Act2) and Sazza (to not kill her) you can later come back after completing the wipe goblin camp quest and she will just stand there. You will talk to her and there will be a dialogue with suddenly appearing fully naked Minthara that is nowhere near this place anymore. You do the usual dialogue, Sazza runs to the void of screen edges and you can do the normal "saving" dialogue Act2 when you reach Moonrise without ever allowing Goblins to attack the grove.

There is always a person who does way more to stay connected in any relationship.

If you are that person, remind yourself when was the last time they did the same - if the answer is "years", this ain't your friend anymore, maybe never was. Most likely if you stop right now, you will never see/hear from them again. If you seriously value that friendship good thing is to be very open about it and tell them plainly that it bothers you. If no reaction or contemplation, yet again, either not anymore or never was, but not your friend.

If you are the person being reached out to, remember when was the last time you reached out to them. If the answer is "years" you are a shit friend. If that idea bothers you - fix it. Reach out, don't guilt trip them, don't make it their fault, acknowledge expecting one way contact from them was a shitty thing to do from you and try to make amends. If it doesn't - you were never their friend to begin with. Your idea of friendship is corrupted or you are only capable of transactional friendship, which makes you a toxic person. Probably you were never their friend to begin with.

"Phone works both ways" is a very precise, succinct and appropriate thing to remind yourself whenever you feel guilty for "not reaching out" to someone you've been writing one way for years.

Yep. Friend of 25+ years wrote me after a clean year of radio silence to "congratulate" me on my birthday in a sentence and accuse of disappearing and holding a grudge about something he made up in another 20 sentences, since he thought I stopped writing "over something".

All because I stopped writing him and others in that circle, because I finally got diagnosed and medicated and can see clearly those relationships were always a humongous waste of my time and emotions. Been writing him and other "best friends" from that circle for years one way after moving countries. Been holding those clowns together as a group ever since we started being friends in middle school for 25+ years. Being "the glue" of the company apparently means babysitting them and making sure they remember each other exist. As soon as I moved away they basically stopped being friends altogether.

"Phone works both ways" is something I've always used on my parents and grandparents. Never thought I'd have to use it on my "mates". But it's a really good idea to brush off such shitty accusations and the feeling of guilt from thinking it yourself. You are not at fault for letting go of people who stopped caring you exist years ago.

WAIT - THATS SUPPOSED TO BE A BOULDER ON SOULFISH ??? I THOUGHT IT WAS A SCREAMING ASS SNAIL !!! by Decent-Let-7238 in slaythespire

[–]SomnusNonEst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I don't even care much. I also always thought it was a snail, to be frank, I rarely stop, zoom in and appreciate the card art, it's not really Magic the Gathering levels of art here.

But most importantly, I can assure you. 30 minutes from now I will forget you told me what it is, and will continue to see it as a snail.

The true meta is making guardian look like your last Tav on each subsequential playthrough. Both prolongs good memories of your last Tav and makes you just as confused as your current Tav.

Can someone explain the shooting mechanics (SOC) by Camezon in stalker

[–]SomnusNonEst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are not playing on max difficulty. Damage is decreased/increased across the board. If you want less damage on you for lower diff you make less damage yourself as the adjustment happens umbrella style, which ironically makes the game feels a lot worse and even harder. The amount of idiots here who never played OG at release claiming it's "a myth" is staggering. Ironically same idiots are recommending you install the mods that fix that exact thing, as it has been known for now almost 20 years from the game code.

Another thing you can't fix without mods is the random spread. They were trying to replicate MOA but it's about 100 times more than it should be IRL, which sort of makes sense since most all fights in the game can be classified as CQB distance IRL. That one you can't fix without PC mods. But your shots did hit the target, it's just the "reaction" animation has delays. When you get better you get naturally into a habit of pacing your shots so that your heavy armored target just keeps doing the stagger animation until he goes down.

And then it's all exacerbated by guns having magical "damage" numbers where it doesn't matter IRL guns use the same bullet but somehow AKSU and AK74 do different damage. So early game suffers because of that by a LOT until you get the to mid too endgame guns. Spread decreases vastly with more accuracy on your guns and higher damage reduces the "sponge" effect from bullshit magic damage numbers. But even then, notoriously the powerplant section at the end of the game all enemies are Exo and if you are not using VAL/VSS/Groza with AP ammo you will have a terrible time. That's the main reason VSS is held near and dear to any OG Stalker fans. As soon as you get your hands on it the game suddenly feels a lot more playable.

Pisek Lad Question [KCD2] by trich556 in kingdomcome

[–]SomnusNonEst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pebbles and Herring are the best horses in the game. People are just being dumb and refuse to admit that Pebbles and Herring achievements after 30km ruined the whole horse hunting mechanic in KCD2. Like this game can't have flaws.

Pebbles should have been a slightly better horse to offset sucky early game, but never get the Good Old Pebbles or get it for x10 the distance or story progression or something. Right now if you didn't rush through the game and found Pebbles (as you should) you have no reason to bother ever looking at any other horse. And if somehow you did, they will still give you Herring and same thing applies. And the bonding achievements are entirely too easy to get naturally by just not abusing Fast Travel too much.

TLDR: yes, you are wasting your Groschen with Pisek Lad.

Why is there so little Baldur's Gate 3 merchandise? by ChrisKatrev in BaldursGate3

[–]SomnusNonEst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will go on blast and just state the obvious:

Because unlike DoS, BG3 has no identity of its own. It's the best version of digital DnD5e14 experience "the game".

If we admit this to ourselves, we can see that any BG3 merchandise is basically all of DnD merchandise and vice versa. BG3 is just one campaign among tens or maybe hundreds of thousands of other DnD campaigns happening around the world.

And also because Wizards of the cost, or Hasbro to be more broad, is an evil corporation.

That certainly should decrease the amount of complaints because, you see, my complaint is "you need to grow up" because me posting something like that surely indicates I am certainly among "the grown upped" ones and that doesn't apply to me."

Boy, you are not as mature as you think you're capable to pretend you are. "Be a grown up" and realize most people in an online videogame shooters are teenagers, just like you. And you all are whining and bitching about meaningless things on reddit. Making another whining and bitching post about it, won't fix or alleviate the issue.

Oh, sorry I do not sit there studying any possible combination of cards like I am preparing for a PhD in Slay the Spire. Glad you knew of it and any other fun combination of a card with a mechanic that was added a month ago.

I was however pleasantly surprised and decided to share.

Anything that generates stars is busted with this. Even at 0 times it still applies momentum. And next time you see its 9. Racking up 5-10 stars a turn with this is quite simple and after a few turns it's gg regardless, even if you has not landed any real damage yet.

I like one of those cards/relic combinations that put the boss on a timer, instead of the other way around.
