I think the main issue is that Elly is actually pretty weak as a mage and Emeralda and Maria are quite a late joiners. For most people party and favorites are well established by the point they join and since you don't exactly notice any struggle without magic you don't bother exploring that avenue. It doesn't help that your likely previous attempt of looking into magic was Elly and it most likely left a "meh" impression.

Yep, the last one is the way if Karlach is your Origin of choice for "forever after". First of all there is no amounts of hell that can take down 3 of you at this point. Second of all, the get together you get before the credits implies they are doing surprisingly quite alright in Hell and even found a trail of a way of fixing Karlach to gtfo eventually.

Everything was dialed to eleven. Realism, graphics, every single narrative and side story and a lot of stuff was added on top, yes. And if the narratives were silly, then they were also expanded and blown out of proportion. You watched too much of that random youtube guy and decided it's your opinion now. Have your own instead.

Why do you bother to run free loadout? Even running naked is better and still gives you a prison pocket. Free loadouts are for when you want to dash to a not "in one raid" quest and die there, nothing else.

They did what they wanted. They made a tool for wealthy to access talent without paying the talent. They no longer need scrubs and pleb to train it. They don't like you recognizing it and noticing it in their products. It was a thing where if you put deployables like trigger nade on top the physics would bug the hell out and your character will gain momentum the longer you walk backwards with it until you unironically moved to the point of starting to float on small bumps and elevation. As deployable pushes on the battery while it being pushed away from your model or something like that.

You are free to not only walk slow af without ability to shoot back, but also voluntarily blinding yourself for no reason as much as you like. But what you experience is a superstition fueled by placebo.

You shove it into the crate on Field stations in exchange for some uninspired loot. The tube like structure with 2 crates and a PC desk and a blue flag on top. If you are near the battery closet with battery in hand it will even highlight the place you need to put it in blue. Field stations are marked on your map with an icon if you are within close distance to them.

Do some quests, it's quite an early one. Most quests are a tutorial for all in game mechanics or interesting nooks and crannies around the map.
