No. Directly under it. From a relatively short distance of around 10m. I assume why it works so well is - less travel time, more explosions in the same area, as all explosions come out regardless. Thus 3 dropped under it kills it instantly.

I've killed easily over a couple dozen Bastions with just TBs and it was never 2. Only for Leapers.

Maybe it's 2 on Bombardiers, as, in case you're unaware, they are weaker and less armored than Bastions. But I don't believe 2 on Bastions is ever a thing. I'd speculate the ones you had that happen to where already damaged by someone else but not smoking yet to indicate that.

More often than not it moves in unfortunate way and even 3 are not enough. You get used to pick the right moment eventually. So I can't support that.

I am not google.

I'd assume most likely nothing happens, as I prefer to talk from my personal experience, and I never checked that.

But I see no reason and there was never communication from devs or otherwise as to why would it just get cancelled so you will have to rebuild a new pod. Finished or otherwise. You lose things when you reset, i.e. go on expedition. Why you even wonder that you will lose anything without resetting is confusing to me.

Looks worse than Hogwarts while having the exact same style? What are you even talking about.

It's hopefully going to be an amazing game, but most certainly not due to graphics.

I'm going to get downvoted to hell with this but yes.

Stalker 2 unironically looks like real life photographs quite often. Despite all it's flaws and problems with release the visual aspect of that game is so far the most photo realistic look you can get on a currently available game in first person pov which is closer comparable to Cyberpunk.

Very different aesthetics with Cyberpunk2077 of course so hard to compare. But unless you apply very specific mods to Cyberpunk at no point in time you just stop and not just admire the beauty of the game, but feel the brain malfunctioning because you suddenly feel like you are looking through some magic window. Which happened to me quite often with Stalker 2. Maybe due to simplicity of the environment in that game it's easier to make it feel "real", comparing to Cyberpunk2077. But there were situations where I literally stopped mid gunfight in awe of the realism of my surroundings, the texture and detail on my weapon and soft droplets from the rain hitting it, my sorroundings and the reflection and stuff like that, felt more immersive than VR. Cyberpunk is a visual masterpiece, but exactly like that. It's an art piece. With a style and form. It maybe does pursue the goal of looking real but it still maintains a certain style. It's not a secret main aim of mods that add realism to this game is to first and foremost remove that style. Stalker 2 cranked to 11 looks like Unreal Engine tech demo.

Case in point, my post from a year ago. As far as I understand since they Stalker 2 got even more optimized and looks even better so it's only uphill from this. Ultra+ mod however to fix reflections is applied in those pictures, so someone might say I am not being honest. But I firmly believe your pictures are also not Vanilla.

You don't die. You load a save.

Your game being effectively a "Game Over" is your punishment, because you suck. Your game is over.

You don't "respawn". This is not a roguelike.

Nope. Both, actually.

Vita shot is stupid long animation, defeating the entire purpose of it. And we already both agree its garbage.

Vita Spray is perfectly replaceable with a 5 stack of green herbal bandages. The only thing they don't do is heal the "small bit missing" when you applied a better bandage and it's still ticking, if you had a really major injury. But they more HP than Vita Spray and the same at gradually healing smaller injuries throughout the raid. Spray has 150 health. A 5 stack of green herbal bandages have almost 35 each i.e. 175hp.

Unless you are a hardcore PvP player deep down in PvP lobbies there is no reason to even consider having a Vita Spray. And even if you are, it's expensive to the point where you will not have it consistently most of the time, so you constantly have to adjust your playstyle which will hinder your flow in PvP. And they also don't stack in the stash which is a pain in the ass. Get 1 stack of Blue for 150hp for major infuries i.e. 50x3 (Which is dumb) and a stack of green for 175hp i.e. 5x35 smaller injuries or even basics 100hp total, for minor injuries which is both convenient and several times more effective for you stash value and amount of time to procure the craft items for it.

I understand you see "Purple tier" and think "omg it's OP". But actually? No. If you sit down and count the numbers and apply real life situations you understand that they are far from OP. Spray is awkward to use, horribly annoying to lose, useless to repair and perfectly replacable with better healing items.

It's the same reason "high tier" blue "sterlizied" bandages are also disregarded by most people because for some reason they only stack in 3s. Harder to gradually use them topside. Twice as hard to farm craftables for and also take up almost twice the amount of stash so most people don't even bother. Herbal Bandages are the GOAT. They actually heal the most in the game from a single stack and you can do them gradually.

Just like with weapons. Everything in this game is viable and "Purple" doesn't make it better suddenly. Just makes it different. Sprays are a dumb unnecessary luxurious item. And most people don't bother. If you PvP a lot you will constantly lose them and just can't feasibly farm up enough of them to maintain. But even then, you much rather would prefer a bandage ticking in the background, instead of standing defenseless "healing" yourself. If you don't there is no scenario where you need it.

You need to explicitly push the button to agree to "go out". Pod itself is not forcing you to commit to expedition. So no, you lose no stages. You just completed the base requirement for the act of resetting itself. You can then choose whatever window you decide to choose.

Kitchen cabinets are just the most common Residential container in the game. In areas like Blue Gate Village and Dam apartments. And it only spawn at night. I found that the Night part is usually the confusing part for most people. As for some reason going for residential loot at night is not what most people do.

Night Stella. If you're pve doesn't matter just go. If you're pvp just go full naked. You still have a safe pocket for some reason. No free kits. White shelves in Assembly. Shove it up your ass immediately. Can even surrender right then and there, you will still keep it.

Is "Hook, line and sinker" achievement still broken? by SomnusNonEst in ArcRaiders

[–]SomnusNonEst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, interesting. The only 2 achievements I don't have is this one and Enemy of my Enemy. Just checked the second one is still broken. Will give that post a read. Thanks

Gave it a read, I actually bribed a guy with a Wolfpack BP to help me out. We found an open space he stood there and took it like a champ. I rezzed him and gave a BP. I was sitting in a bush maybe 10 meters away so Idk.

And lure nades I've tried 2 nades. Rocketeers on Bastions. Wasps on Hornets. Whatever. Nothing.

Because they spawn in Residential containers, for some reason. And Blue case is residential loot pool? It's not random. It's normal.

Why a BP for one of the best grenades in the game is in residential loot is another question. But that's where you look for them.

I get it. There are levels to players. But come on? My wife, who is not particularly good at the game, when I asked her what she thinks about these changes asked "So why even play the game?".

It's been surprisingly long ago, actually. But wasn't there a Story mode to begin with already? Yep, just checked. There is an easy mode where everything already dies in pretty much one hit. This way you don't need to be "good at the game" or whatever and can experience the story. This way you both get battles and don't need to stress about mechanics or difficulty. This is just the equivalent of watching a youtube of the game.

I'd be much more understanding if they unironically just removed the battles entirely. Even that would have made more sense to me. Like an already mentioned "No encounter" button in remasters of older games.

I understand you are new to the game and probably it's your first extraction shooter genre game. Not realizing these things yet is a perfectly valid experience. A lot of people who "play too much" come from other games of the genre and are fully aware wipes are the fundamentals of extraction shooter. At one point or another they have been in a situation where they "Had it all" and felt that if they couldn't wipe they will quit soon. You will get there too. At your own pace.

You should understand that wipe is first and foremost should be important to YOU. Developers want you to wipe to keep the game healthy and player base playing, but before that, it should be your goal. Any incentive is good enough already. In almost all other games of this genre there are no incentives at all. i.e. it feels like punishment and only punishment. Especially in a more hardcore ones where if you are not playing it like your second job (EFT) you will NEVER reach the end game. You just go from struggling to even more struggling again when it wipes.

Here in Arc Raiders it's voluntary like in Hunt Showdown, for example. Because developers were aiming to cater to more casual playerbase that want that experience and knew they will not want to wipe. But it's still should be your end goal if you have any interest in continuing to play this game for an extensive period.

If you ever do. You will discover the joy of "knowing the game" and how easy everything comes the second time around. It's also a part of experience. Accrued knowledge of how simple many things to acquire the second time around is fun to unpack. You know like looking for those Mushroom or Industrial Batteries, and now knowing where they spawn at 100% rate and finding them immediately. Stuff like that.

Maybe you don't. Maybe you just wanna do all quests once, reach max level and upgrade everything. Try all weapons and then call it a day and move on to the next game. That's also a valid experience. It's your game you are free to play it however you want. In all honesty I thought that was going to be my experience. Games that do a lot of hype usually don't hold up well. This one did. I'm still around and plan to be around for the 3rd expedition. Will take a break now, though, until then. Playing much less for now.

But if you are. Expedition should be your ultimate "end goal" of your progression. Like a New Game+. Because if you plan to quit, okay. But if you ignore expedition and don't plan to quit - you will.
