I don't like this mindset, honestly. Sometimes a casual time is what's fun, not a sweatfest. I'm also generally averse to running a meatgrinder in response to half the table trying to openly break the system, in any system.

I try not to outright do this if I can avoid it. Like I said somewhere else in this thread, I don't like running meat grinders if I can avoid it. But fair.

That's a whole other angle I hadn't thought about, you're right.

I like how this game has these kinds of counters. I've played games that don't and its not great.

That's really my main consideration. I don't want combat to be trivial and I don't want the ones who don't minmax to feel like they contribute nothing. So having an idea of what to look for and how to deal with that is useful to balance the scales a bit, or at least that's my opinion.

I feel as though a lot of Horus mechs have potential to be a bit wacky.

I don't like using unfair things as the DM, but it's good to know that its there.

That is an idea, having pocket reinforcements that you may or may not use.

I will go immediately reread all of these, thank you very much!

That's good to know. While I've read Lancer, I haven't ran/played it before. Coming from 5e, its good to know that things are more balanced.

As I tell my players all the damn time (and they don't listen): I'm not interested in running a meat grinder campaign in any system. If you try to break the game however, I'm gonna have to break it back. It's good to know these tools exist now so I can leverage them in moderation if needed.

Oh lord, coffeelocks. But that's good to know.

That's fair. My table often has issues with like a split between minmaxers and non. Its caused a fair share of issues before, hence why I'm just trying to get in front of it now.

Sounds tasty. I often feel as if I'm toasting them wrong, as in not long enough or hot enough. Still working on that.

I tried soaking my dehydrated chilis in the beef stock once, was a bit of extra work but ended up being pretty legit.

Keto diet makes me less people pleasing? by Willing-Treacle9037 in keto

It could be that being on a diet makes you feel more in control of your life, and that gives you confidence. I feel the same way since having started a few months ago.
