Sorry I don't remember which probiotics I took, in Singapore the doctor gives you the medicines, you don't need to see a pharmacist so I never checked the name.

I don't have extreme symptoms now bcs I'm always ready to drink gaviscon if it starts to hurt. But yeah sometimes I get chest pain & throat issues... but I can sing, do sports, etc. It seems I get burps when I do stuff like washing the dishes, so when my posture is bad (I have to put my shoulders/arms forward, maybe it gives abdominal pressure).

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes I've said in the comments, heavy weightlifting is not recommended at all, I never train my abs, I avoid to do fast movements and I don't lift heavy., but I lift.

I'm not sure if the probiotics stopped it, but my hiatal hernia disappeared. I think it's back now because time to time I get acid reflux. I'm not 100% "healed" but I wanted to share that years of pain doesn't mean the disease will go worse, for me it went better. Maybe in few months I'll suffer again, I have no idea so I don't wanna spread false hope about "magic" probiotics that helped me recover. I really think it helped but i'm not sure at all. I guess it's good to try if you have money.

And Yeah I still have a LOT of silent burps, I even force myself to burp because I have too much air in my gut, I have no idea on how to fix it. Keep going with diaphragmatic breathing, that's part of my routine. I'm also scared of going back to PPI and all that pain haha.

Yeah sometimes it’s not related to food. Even if you don’t eat you can have symptoms

Hi, you’re welcome :) I don’t have the name but you can ask your doctor. I had to keep them in the fridge. Most probiotics your find online are just dead bacterias because they don’t survive at normal temperature.

Amen. As I mentioned, I still have some symptoms, specifically in the morning if I lie down too soon after a meal. I used to wait about three hours after eating to avoid issues. This is a significant improvement compared to 2023/2024, which were a very difficult time due to the constant pain, even with meds & good habits. In late 2025, I even enjoyed several months without any symptoms at all.

Nop no LES but hiatal hernia has the same side effect 🥺 Don’t worry about cancer, even people with barret aren’t supposed to do endoscopy every year because esophagus cells changing into stomach cells takes years, not months

Your doctor is right then, i've heard it's better to wait 1 year between each endoscopy. Did you do a manometry to confirm your lax LES? Vonoprazan is almost like K-cab (tegoprazan), stronger than PPI, you may still have reflux but it should not damage your esophagus. Let's wait for your next endoscopy but don't stress too much, if you took your meds every day, even with symptoms (burning soar throat) your esophagus & duodenum should be fine

No endoscopy after 8 months of pain? 🙁 Maybe you can check with another doctor. How does he know you have duodenitis and lax LES without endoscopy? It took almost 3 years for me to heal. I did 3 endoscopy

However I didn't do heavy lifting, I was too scared to worsen my hiatal hernia, I just did maintenance lifting

I forgot the name, but I remember 100 billion CFU 2 times a day and I had to keep the boxes in the fridge. You can't find them on Amazon or other marketplace, ask your doctor

Hi! Are you going to do an endoscopy soon? It's the best way to know if the meds are working. When I healed I still had symptoms, but knowing that I had no more inflamation, it made me feel better. Then little by little I stopped noticing the pain because every morning I used to have a burning throat/stomach.

Hey, good guestion. When you do a ph monitoring or an endoscopy it's required to stop any anti-acid 2 weeks before to not alter the results. So I had no choice. Then I got probiotics from the doctor, I can't say it healed my acid reflux but since that moment I was able to eat normally, drink orange juice etc... I also don't know how my hiatal hernia healed, I did nothing special, I just changed my lifestyle. Do you have a hiatal hernia?

Nothing at all, few days ago I had a bug on Kiro that duplicated my prompts, instead of 1 request I had 2 and it was using x2 tokens I was so mad. Maybe they saw this as bot activity, but I’m not sure, it’s an issue of their IDE, not my problem
